I went there as part of a retreat. Every single one of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. There was no such thing as "no." It is clear that these folks love what they do for a living. The service rivals Four Seasons I've stayed at for sure. The WiFi was fast, so I could check... More

If you are looking for a Sedona experience with the crowd you will enjoy this resort. Definitely for the active outdoor type that can afford high end rooms and service. My teens enjoyed all of the rock climbing, horse riding and hiking that was easily arranged from the lobby. The beautiful accommodations, nature and unspoiled views are worth the drive.

Gateway Canyons Resort is like no place in the world. We know, we spent New years weekend there dining, dancing and touring the high-end auto museum, our room was lovely and the food terriffic, so was the staff! In fact Gateway was so good, we're coming back in the summer to do it again!!! I've read much about Gateway in... More

This restaurant used to be a destination eating spot with full menu, as recently as a year ago, but something has gone very wrong. The food tastes like they found it when it fell off a Sysco truck hours before its expiration date. We did not spend the night but imagine spending $600/night and getting served this food? Yikes!

We really loved Gateway Resort. We had a few problems at first. Like the fireplace not turning on correctly and the hot tub jets not working. BUT they had them fixed so fast, I couldn't believe it! They even gave us a great box of chocolates for all the troubles. The one thing we loved the MOST was the staff,... More

Gateway Canyons Resort is a remarkable jewel in a still peaceful part of western Colorado canyon country. Views abounded with towering sandstone walls flanking the Dolores River, all just a few steps from our room. But as dazzling and compelling as the scenery was, it’s the staff that made our experience truly memorable. It feels as if everyone working at... More

This is an outstanding facility. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and very quiet. The staff is very professional; personable, accomodating and attentive. I am here for a retreat. The meeting facilities are terrific. All meals have been wonderful. The wifi is free and from my room it works very well. The general store is currently closed. There is no... More

OK....this is a bit off the beaten path but then again that is why you want to go here. This is a magical part of Colorado and worth the drive. Not an inexpensive proposition but worth it on almost every count. They have a new management company, Noble House and we stayed right before they came in. I hope they... More

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at Gateway Canyons. You are correct, we are a bit off the beaten path. We consider this a hidden treasure and what a treat, to come down the scenic Unaweep Tabaguache Biway! We do have a new management company, Noble House, and you will see many positive changes upon... My husband and I and a couple of friend stayed at this resort for a 3-day weekend and the experience was wonderful. The place is kind of in the middle of nowhere but that's the beauty of it. It's so relaxing and the place itself is great, you wouldn't think something this beautiful exists in that little town. The service... More

Thank you for your excellent review. I could not have said it better. You are absolutely right - the helicopter tours are amazing and there is so much to do. We are adding even more choices, for instance our Experts in Residence series and our daily showing of the Founder's Collection of Discovery Movies just to mention a few. I... More

For me, it is about the location, which is isolated and surrounded by several huge red-rock bluffs. Grounds are maintained well. Food choices are a high-end restaurant and the Paradox Grill. I found the latter to be fine for my taste: salad, salmon, and Sam Adams Lager. Area is remote, dry, and fun to explore. A full time staffer will... More

Thank you for your very kind review of Gateway Canyons. We appreciate your insight regarding our food & beverage and Adventure Center. You are correct, we are near the end of an extremely exciting renovation with the soon to be open - Kayenta Lodge and new arrival area. We expect construction to end around the first week of May, but... More
