We were headed back home to Pueblo and the Laveta Pass was closed due to a head on collision. So we had two choiced wait or stay the night. We choose to spend the night in this little gem of a Motel. The owner was superb and he went out of his way to accomodate our family. The rooms are... More

Dog friendly motel in a town where not much else is happening. Dog friendly rooms that don't smell like dog. Excellent price. Only reason it got four stars instead of five is because of low lighting in rooms. Very nice owner operated motel. More

We stayed here on our way to Great Sand Dunes Park. Old style motel, satellite TV, microwave and frig. We got stuck with a smoking room, but was not that bad. Owner was nice, over all we would stay again. More

We stayed here on our way to the Sand Dunes National Park in Alamosa. The manager is very friendly, the bathroom was clean, the sheets were clean, the air conditioning worked and the porch was a wonderful place to enjoy the storm clouds, rainbows, and a glass of wine. More

We were on our way home to Louisiana and I wanted to surprise my 15 and 16 yr old children with one more site. Since Great Sand Dune National Park is about 70 miles west of I-25 I wanted to travel as close to the park that night and get up to visit the park the next morning. The owners... More

We British are often sucked in by American horror movies, especially those featuring motels! This one seemed to match those that appear in movies with its quiet location and eerie feel. However, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable and overall was very good value. Good stay! More

The Lodge is my favorite place to stay in Fort Garland. They allow pets, the place is clean, the beds are uber-comfortable. Rooms are HUGE and offer either 2 Queen Beds or 1 Queen and 1 Double, mini-fridge, coffee and coffee pot, cable TV and many rooms have WiFi. This is a smaller Mom & Pop run motel and the... More

When we first drove up, I thought "hmmm...". But once we checked the rooms, I was at ease. This place is a gem! Sure, the floors are lumpy, but that just added to the charm. The rooms are _huge_ compared to other motels. The microwave, refrigerator, TV and coffee makers looked new. I couldn't believe we had WiFi. The beds... More

Linda & Rich are the owners, and they care. Having a fridge & microwave in the room was nice, very clean bedding, towels & bathroom. We visited the area for the Sand Dunes and the historical museums, etc. Hotels in Alamosa wanted twice the rate and not all of them take pets. Our well-behaved dog, as well as the other... More

Stayed here on way to Durango. Place was very rustic and quaint. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and our king size bed was very comfortable. It also had a small fridge and microwave. No outlets in bathroom and a lumpy floor were the only complaints but no big deal really. Best of all we only paid... More
