We loved our stay to have a sleep over on the Grand Mesa. Rented a larger cabin so the girls could sleep on the floor around the fireplace. Loved the hydro bikes, mtn biking all around and the great scenery. The restaurant serves really good food. Overall we had a great trip.

This is the second time we have visited Thunder Mountain Lodge - each trip about a year apart. I have to say that my previous review was fair, but we probably won't be back for a third try. This time we stayed in one of the "remodeled" two-bedroom units. While it was generally attractive inside with newer paneling and some... More

I think the poor reviews here are really misleading. This place is not luxury, but the new owners are working hard to remodel the cabins, the restaurant is very good, and the scenery here - especially in winter- is incomparable! I think people need to keep in mind that this is a CABIN - not a resort, not a your... More

Rented this for my mom, her brother and my 80 year old grandfather. When calling in I asked for something semi handicap as my grandfather can't quite get around like he once did they sounded very accommodating. Checked in paid $165 for the first night and $140 for the second, this was not the at value on the Mesa but... More

Had a chance to visit the Thunder Mountain Lodge on top of the Grand Mesa in Colorado. Had the greatest time exploring the beautiful mountains and majestic lakes. Cabins were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The Staff was awesome, they treated you like Family and helped with every request. If that was enough to make us wanting to come back... More

I am reviewing the restaurant here, not the lodging side of this business. I hope it's not inappropriate. Family and I recently spent a couple of nights during the Summer on the Grand Mesa, and decided to eat out one of the nights. After researching our options, and checking reviews (including here), I decided to try Thunder Mountain Restaurant, a... More

We arrived at Thunder Mountain to stay 3 days on a family vacation. The cabin we stayed in sleeps 4, which means 1 queen bed in it's own room, and 2 futons in the main room. The cabin was very run down, the futon was broken, a piece of metal fell off the fireplace, the shower had black stuff around... More

I came here as a kid and now I see why my dad thought "It's God's country!" I come stay a week at a time and love the stop! Relax or play it is come a long way with the new owers. The remodled cabins are nice.
