It is hard to find an unrefined vintage hotel in walking distance of a cool city. But this is it. Geraniums in the window boxes and old-fashioned knotty pine. You do forgo the hot tub and gourmet breakfast (theirs is quite okay though) but you get to remember the "old" days, the way they really were, and park your car... More

This is 2 miles outside Boulder. The rooms are rustic (no hairdryer) but very comfortable. There is a continental breakfast which is a bit cramped, meaning that you basically take your items back to your room to consume. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The check out (10:30 am) seems a bit early but manageable. This will likely become... More

We appreciate your kind words. We are actually 2 blocks outside city limits and only 9 blocks from the Pearl Street Mall. Maybe a 15 - 20 minute walk. We have hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, dishware, coffee mugs, iron and boards, etc. as 'loaner' items in the office as they are available. Just ask, we want to help. More

I had the pleasure of another fantastic visit to this quaint little place. The staff was very friendly and the accommodations charming. I felt as if i were visiting with family back home or even old friends. What a great value for my money.

I was in Boulder, very last minute, on business for two nights. I read a few recent positive reviews for the Foot of the Mountain motel and decided to give it a try (I should have read ALL the reviews). I was offered a single room with a full bed (room 16). The price/location was right and the people seemed... More

This is an unfortunate review and some parts are very inaccurate. We have been in business for over 80 years and pride ourselves with an extremely clean property. These critters are a infuriating for every motel, hotel and lodge around the world no matter how clean the property is. Treatment is expensive but done as soon as possible, usually within... More

This quirky little cabin hotel was a fun place to stay. It truly is set "at the foot of the mountain," next to a city park, with a stream running along the back of the cabins. The cabins were built in 1936, and feature log walls and original bathtubs. It reminded us of rooms we've stayed in at national parks.... More

I can't say enough about how happy my husband and I am that we choose Foot of the Mountain as our home away from home on our vacation. Super clean and roomy with a quaint charm. Bridgette, the manager, took excellent care of us. We were close to Pearl Street but far enough away for peace and quiet with a... More

Rustic with personality! Not your standard type of hotel. Small and cozy with a stream gurgling behind and a wonderful meadow for picnicking or watching the deer. Hotel staff personable and helpful...helped us find a place to store our bikes, kept items our daughter left to be picked up after we left, great suggestions on what to see, and choices... More

Take a step back in time and stay a night or so at the Foot of the Mountain Motel. Bring a fly rod and fish the stream just steps from your cabin. The rooms are comfortable but beds should be upgraded. Lumpy and thin. That's the only downside. Rates are good, location is super and the staff is helpful. A... More

We were only in Boulder for two nights and this place kept us right in the heart if everything we wanted to do...hike and hang in town. Mark checked us in and welcomed us with a great overview of the area. The room was SPOTLESS and very comfy.

Located literally at the foot of a mountain along an acequia and across from Boulder Creek and two parks, this modest, log cabin-set of buildings offers comfortable rooms with views. The bath facilities are adequate and the bed firm. We stayed in #10. Across the parking area in the office, one can find coffee, juice, drinks, fruit, and breakfast items.... More
