The hotel is run-down and has bad customer service. The decor is very "minimalistic". The rooms are also very "minimalistic". We (3 of us) were booked in a room with 2 queeens. We travelled to California (first time in 21 years with no kids) for a 4 night stay at the Andaz West Hollywood. We were very, very impressed with the service, cleanliness and style of the hotel. This is a great hotel when visiting Beverly Hills/West-Hollywood/Mid-city located on the Sunset Strip. It's beautiful lobby and welcoming staff is a blast when arriving after a busy day in the city. Andaz is pretty amazing. I think being modern and forward thinking is their style and you see this as soon as you walk in. There is no reception desk and someone casually dressed will greet you. These are the 'Hosts' who play reception, concierge, bell hop and every other role... it's quite a unique experience as one person can take... more
