We had high hopes for this place...me and the lady were getting away for a long weekend. We called weeks in advance to make the reservations for 2 nights...spoke to some guy on the phone and he assured me, we were all taken care of. The day we get there, a very nice woman checked us in and said that... More

The good things: An extremely helpful and welcoming host. For what we needed, a good location where there isn’t much else. Excellent coffee. A nice table in the room for doing computer work. The less good things: No breakfast is served during the week, although coffee is available in the hallway. A cramped bathroom with impossible lighting and sink with... More

Small rm - no TV - the bartender tried to chg me twice for the rm. Not very friendly. Very odd entrance to the rm. Looked like just a big bar. No thanks not for $150.00. I wouldn't call that romantic at all.

We arrived to Valley Ford Hotel at about 6:30 in the evening, with just enough time to check-in, change our clothes, and hop back in the car to drive to dinner a few towns over. It didn't take long, though, to change our plans. We entered through the hotel bar, Rocker Oysterfeller, which was humming with conversation and cocktails all... More

Room 6 is very noisy - every sound from the bar and dining room downstairs comes in full blast. Also, no closet or armoire in that room, so prepare to lay your clothes on hangers on the floor or bed. Room 3 looked a lot better as it has a better layout and isn't over a busy/noisy part of the... More

We stayed here for one night and we loved our stay!! We arrived at 6pm and there was no one to be seen at the check-in desk so we called and found out we should just check in at the bar in the restaurant attached to the hotel. Easy check-in once we found out where to actually check-in (maybe a... More

Fourth year in a row staying here. The location is perfect for getting to some of the best vineyards in the area. The food never fails to surpass our expectations, from fresh oysters, local cheese plates, the best fried chicken and chocolate and biscuits for breakfast. The rooms are great, no details are overlooked, and the entire set up is... More

Valley Ford is a cute little town, and the Valley Ford Hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are charming, and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant downstairs has amazing food, and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely be coming back to the Valley Ford Hotel.

It was a stop off point while I was traveling from SF to the far north of Rt. 1. Based on reviews and their web site, I thought it might have some charm and be a decent place to spend the night. WRONG. It was loud and had no more charm than a road-side motel. Traffic made sleep nearly impossible... More
