Ramekins Culinary School & Inn is more school than inn. It offers catering, cooking classes, lectures, even musical evenings. A staff of mostly friendly folks spend their days organizing classes and peddling the small but attractive facility as a great spot for weddings and special events. Maybe so. What Ramekins is not great at is being a B&B, where presumably... More

So we paid $120 for cooking lessons (we got a discount from Groupon). Well what I thought was cooking lessons. In fact, groups of 2 are made and you have to choose from appetizer (shrimp wrapped in procietto), dessert (pot de creme) , soup (pear & squash), vegetable (carrots), main (pork loin), side (potatoes) and other (shortbread for soup). So... More

Just a few blocks from town--an easy stroll. Each morning they served an excellent breakfast. We did not dine at the inn otherwise. Staff was very courteous and helpful, and offered complimentary water, juice and sodas at anytime. The room was spacious and both room and bath were modest and very clean. The mattress was very comfortable--like being at home.... More

My husband and I attended the premiere adult culinary and wine camp at Ramekins. All I can say is sign up quickly for the October class. Bill, Lisa, Doug, Seth, Roger and the rest of the Ramekins family made us feel more welcome and at home than I have ever felt in a hotel. The guest chefs Mary, Pierre, Diane,... More

We attended a cooking class purchased from a groupon. There were 12 people in the class and it was a "hands-on" class which meant we all took part in preparing at least part of the meal. All ingredients were measured and prepared for us, so we just had to follow the recipes (with instructions from the chef) and turned out... More

Stayed here for the first time in October 2009 and enjoyed it so much that booked another stay in December. The rooms are spacious and a great value compared to other places that we have stayed in Sonoma. The location is far enough from the square to enjoy the quiet surroundings but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants.... More

Beware Ramekins has changed hands. New owners have completely redecorated and have not changed website; which shows original rooms. The new color scheme is prison gray. New owners have moved cooking school office to the former resident mangers room. This means employees now cut through the breakfast room to reach their office. This also means anyone staying in the former... More

From the moment we arrived the staff was extremely friendly, courteous and always willing to help out in any way. The rooms and building were very clean. They put us in a nice large cozy room with a fireplace. There is a nice outdoor patio when we sipped wine and enjoyed a cheese plate. It must be popular as there... More

My wife and I were looking for a cooking class in the heart of wine country and lucked into a sit-down dinner version with renowned chef John Ash, who was literate, charming and skilled at managing the 12-person class. Ramekins B&B was a convenience--it is in the same building-- but turned out to be a pleasant surprise. For a self-labeled... More

We are newlyweds and decided to try a bed and breakfast for a romantic getaway. The hotel was an average 3 star type of hotel, a disappointment for us, as we expected a 4 star for the price 225/night. The BB advertises a continental breakfast each morning which is more like free coffee and snack. They had 1 small fruit... More
