This is an older facility but clean and comfortable. Best of all, it was a great bargain. No great expectations, no great disappointmewnts. Staff is friendly and competent and location is central to downtown Solvang. More

We travel to Solvang from Florida to ring in the Christmas season each year. This was our fourth stay at Svendsgarrd's and it never disappoints us. Loved the location, on the corner of town, right at the end of the streets where the shops of Solvang begin. Very reasonable price. This hotel is more shabby than chic BUT it has a friendly staff and is excellently located near all the shops and restaaurants. Theyhave a very nice breakfast included and a pool and a jacuzzi. Our room (35) had a fireplace and a refrigerator. I would return and hope they spruce up the place before then. More

I liked the Svendsgaard's Lodge the first time I stayed so I returned when I came back to Solvang. My room was very clean and comfortable. This place has alot of character and the staff has been friendly and pleasant. I think it is a great choice and the breakfast is a plus. More

I did not notice any of the negs from other reviews. If your looking for a new room, stay in a new hotel. The room was very clean, very good location, could not ask for more for the price. More
