Hotel Carmel is a charming hotel, right in downtown. Room was spotless. The one negative was the lift was out of order whilst there so had to drag suitcases up 3 flights of steep steps. I would recommend anyone to stay here. More

Stayed here for two nights in November. Great location and decently priced. Definitely not the sterile atmosphere of a chain hotel, but a nice lobby and staff. Bar Chloe next door was awesome. If you aren't in to older hotels with character though, stay away. Other than that, you can't beat being a block of the beach for the price. More
