We just got back from a wonderful weekend at the Fairmont Miramar. The staff was wonderful, the hotel was wonderful, even the weather was wonderful. The hotel is located within walking distance to restaurants, the beach and shopping and we all will be returning. more

Great location near shopping, restaurants and beaches. Rooms are small but very nicely decorated. We had a nice view. The downside is that Santa Monica is noisy with traffic and, because it's a city, dirtier than I expected for being a beach town. The restaurant is very good. more

Stayed with another 2 couples from 27th -30th September. Having previously stayed in 9 Fairmont hotel's I would have to say this is the poorest yet. I do agree the location is good but other than that it falls way below the normal Fairmont standrards. The rooms are bordering on 3 star standards. Great location for Santa Monica. 10 minute walk to the pier, 2 minutes to the north end of 3rd St promenade. Spacious, nicely appointed rooms, really nice pool area and gardens, efficient (although pricey at $33 per night) valet parking. Fig restaurant a bit of a disappointment, but there are lots of other options close by. more

Went there on a package deal and that helped keep costs down. Every staff member we met was polite and cheerful. Food was excellent from room service,front bar and Fig restaurant. A very well appointed and quality hotel. Excellent customer service, some of the best we have experienced. But I would repeat a few of tips to enhance your stay. Great location on the cliffs overlooking beach at Santa Monica. The rooms on one side have views over the beach towards Malibu and have great sunsets, and rooms on the other have views across the beach to Santa Monica Pier.
