Needed a clean and nice place to stay while in town to visit relatives during the holidays. Bella Notte was a good choice. Michael was on duty and he was exceptionally helpful. The rooms are much larger and better appointed than an average hotel. Coffee maker, great bedding, flat screen tv, amenities in the bathroom, hair dryers, large fluffy bathrobes.... More

We had a very large room (7) with huge closet and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows, in room coffee maker, TV with DVD player which was great since we had our own to watch. It is on a somewhat busy street but we turned on the air conditioner and closed the windows and it was plenty quiet. Staff was... More

We were meeting up with a friend for a night in Santa Cruz. We needed a pleasant, relatively quiet hotel room. Bella Notte was great. The room was very nice, on par with a 3-4 star hotel (think Hilton). The bed was comfortable with very nice sheets (600 count), down pillows, a comforter with a duvet, etc. The bathroom was... More

Locally owned and run, the Belle Notte is one of my favorite places to stay in one of my favorite towns. Located in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to enjoy everything. Just a couple of blocks walk to the beach. More

Just spent 3 nights and thought the room and furnishings were very nice, really enjoyed the comfy bed. Originally planned 4 nights but on the 3rd night there was such loud noises upstairs that lasted well into the morning we decided to leave. The location is good, short drive to boardwalk and walking distance to Twin Lakes Beach. Alan and... More

Was referred to this hotel by the one next door. 10 rooms, quiet, clean, nice! The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. The room was wonderful - excellent stay. And although the owner referred to the rates as being a bit pricey, given what we've paid in the past for other hotels in the area - not out of... More

My family just stayed at the Bella Notte... We throughly enjoyed our stay. Here are the highlights: quiet/calm part of Santa Cruz; walking distance to Twin Lakes Beach; a 7-minute drive to the Boardwalk, a 2-minute drive to Capitola, a terrific Farmer's Market on the Sunday we were there - fresh fruit; a very gracious and accomodating owner, walking distance... So long as a quarter of Americans are clinically obese, it's a really, really bad idea to stay on the ground floor of this place. The floors of the room above were tiled and had absolutely zero soundproofing. The residents decided to walk around all night. Resulting soundin my room: like a herd of elephants. It's a shame because otherwise... More
