I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge Santa Clara for business and I was satisfied with my stay. The hotel was clean. The staff was both friendly and efficient. I was able to check in a little early which was good. The room rate was also very fair. I will definitely stay here again in the future. more

This hotel is blocks from our friends' house, and from the outside looked nice (we'd been by a few weeks earlier). We called late afternoon and they refused to reserve a room over the phone. The owner was nice enough to give us a non-smoking room. The room felt a little dirty. A few ants in the bath did not help. They seem to forget to replace the towels they take. It was ok for the price. more

Positives? The hotel room was relatively updated, clean sheets, firm, good sleeping mattress and pillows. Free wifi. Didn't feel like a 'dump'. I actually slept fairly well. Negatives?
