Nice Hyatt hotel, but a bit old. Wall air conditioning in the rooms (I can't remember where I saw another one on last years). Very good room size and good bathroom, with separated areas. Good valet parking service and check in, but a line to check out.

it is a beautifully set hotel, right on the beach, close to State street, where all the action is. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Wish the air conditioner was less noisy, seems a bit outdated. Has a nice, somewhat small pool. we will come back for the location and access to everything Santa Barbara has to offer.

We stayed here over the weekend, when we arrived it was unseasonably windy for Santa Barbara yet every door and breezeway were open letting the cold air through. The hotel itself is an old motel that has been upgraded with new everything to look nicer. The only thing is the walls are still super thin. We had to be moved... More

We booked on Priceline, and got the worst room, close to elevator, non - ocean view. But it was terrific, quiet, no traffic noise, nicely appointed room, lots of chairs, wifi, bathtub. No bathrobes! But we enjoyed the checking - friendly, very helpful, and they appeared to be trying very hard. Parking fee of $15 was a surprise, but parking... More

Stayed here in Feb 2012 for a weeks business. Normally stay in the FessParker Doubletree but it was full that week. Location is good - opposite the beach and waterfront shuttle. It is about a 40 min walk from State street. Breakfast was included in my rate. There was only a buffet at weekends. I did not think the buffer... More

Unfriendly. rude staff, bouncers watched the pool area all day. It must have a rough reputation. . They do not respect guests who book on expedia. Enter at your own risk.... There are so many great places to stay in santa Barbara, don't waste your $300.00 + per night on this place....The pool area had so many kids running around... More

We had booked for two nights and were favourably impressed upon arrival by the place and the location. It looked really nice. We were given room 309 quite far from the reception taking a lift to the second floor crossing a long corridor and then taking another lift to the third floor and more corridor. When we opened the door... More

Upon arrival, the valet and bellman were right on it and cheerful. Good first impression but it was all downhill after that. First check-in, they gave me the wrong room, 2 queens instead of a king ocean view. I was told to come back later. An hour and a half later, I came back only to be told come back... More

I had a distinct feeling at the check-in counter that BECAUSE I booked with expedia and paid a less expensive rate that I was therefore a much LESS VALUABLE customer. They treated us poorly and gave us a room that look directly and exclusively at a wall 2 feet away from the room. Ummm....I'm still paying almost $300 and I... More

Concierge, Mr. Christian Kramer, was especially helpful during the time I stayed at this hotel on a work-related trip. He was uncommonly attentive and gracious in effectively handling both routine and challenging matters. He is to be commended for his outstanding service to guests.
