This hotel was fine for a one night stay on our drive down to LA from SF. Our room was very basic, but that is what was expected. The grounds surrounding the hotel are lovely and I wish we had had more time to enjoy the nightly fires on the the beach.

We had a very relaxing time, my husband, and I. I can't wait to stay there again. We had an ocean view room and were still steps from the water...beautiful and romantic. We had a warm fire in the fireplace and still had the ocean breeze...excellent service. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night when visiting Hearst Castle and the Seal Beach (both of which are great excursions). This hotel was excellent and a very good value. We ate dinner and breakfast at the onsite restaurant and enjoyed both. The room was nice, and we had a very good night's sleep. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Just off Highway 1 on the ocean side, book an ocean view room if possible, comfy armchairs to sit by the fire if it is a little chilly, patio chairs to sit and watch the ocean.
