We stayed only one night but it was very nice. Clean, great brealfast. As other have said, a bit noisy but not objectionable to me.

We have been staying at another hotel on our last three visits to SLO, but due to a recommendation by our son (who is grinding away at Cal Poly) we decided to stay at Petit Soleil on Monterey Street.
This was a great choice! Bedrooms are whimsical yet very relaxed. Breakfast is divine and the bicycles on hand to borrow...

Clean spacious room. Sweet, accommodating, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast specials to augment the pastry buffet. SLO and Paso wineries nearby. A lovely birthday trip
Two years ago, on a college tour with my daughter, we happened upon this property and spent one night. It made an impression so I booked it for a road trip with my Mother (86) and Mother-In-Law (80) on our way to Santa Cruz. It was just as lovely as I had remembered. We booked the Joie de Vivre suite....

I stayed in Petit Soleil's only suite the night before and night of my wedding this past March and had the best experience. The location is excellent and central to downtown destinations, as well as easily accessible from the freeway. The suite was very spacious and offered the perfect amount of room for the hustle and bustle of getting ready...

My daughter and I stayed at Petit Soleil during a college trip to Cal Poly, based on the largely excellent tripadvisor reviews. It was very charming, in a convenient location (easy walk into town). We stayed in the Van Gogh room, which is upstairs and the farthest away from the street, overlooking the courtyard. There was ample parking.

The Petit Soleil was our final stop after 3 nights of camping. The comfortable bed and hot water were most appreciated. The place is easy to find, a few blocks off the freeway, within walking distance of Cal Poly and downtown. The patio area is a delightful spot to enjoy the afternoon selection of wines and appetizers. The breakfast was...

However, the building was probably once a motel, with outside corridors and access up steps from the street. Even though we had a room more or...

Accommodations were great. The varity of items for morning breakfast both hot and cold were excellent. The rooms were clean and well kept. In walking distance to a varity of things to see in SLO
This was our 3rd stay and our last. We got it all this time. Train noise in the night. Traffic. Poor lighting in the bathroom and the lamps. The nice breakfast and wine and cheese does not make up for the pricey room and the flea bites I did not enjoy next morning!! The manager seemed indifferent to my plight....
