My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November 2009. It was a weekend getaway for us, mainly for sightseeing and wine-tasting. This hotel is ideally suited for both purposes. While booking, I requested a room in a quiet area of the hotel, since I am a light sleeper, and did not want to be bothered... more

I stayed the weekend at the Doubletree in Sonoma and I had an excellent experience. The rooms were a nice size, huge bathroom with oversized confy chairs. The hotel offered a discount for pre-paid rates, so I was able to get a room for under a $100.00 a night. The morning breakfest set up was clean and well staffed and... more

First room had a strong odor. Second room was acceptable until the morning when the shower didn't drain. Waited more than an hour for maintenance to fix. Also no screen on window. Could be a nice hotel with maintenance and updating. Staff was very helpful. more

We planned to visit wine country after my husband's conference in San Francisco. Instead, he ended up in an emergency room, followed by 10 days in the hospital and surgery. Needless to say, we weren't going to use our Sonoma reservation. We called ahead, explained the circumstances, and cancelled the reservation so the hotel could re-rent the room. They were... more

You can hear toilets flush and the people above stomping on the floor. (don't stay on any floor but 3rd) I was up all night. Although it is a bargain, a motel would have been more quiet. Hotel needs a remodel badly. Also, weddings going on until late at night so loud guests keep you up due to window facing... more

Thank you for your feedback and comments. It is unfortunate to hear that you did not receive a pleasant stay. By you post here I am not sure if you notified the Front Desk or our care line of the noise challenges…..in this situation our hotel staff would assist the guest to another room away from the pool area. While...

OK, so maybe not a four star or three star but a definite 3.5. My husband and I stayed here at a great rate (for Sonoma) we got through Hotwire. We knew there wouldn't be anything interesting in the immediate neighborhood but that didn't matter to us since it's a relatively short drive to Santa Rosa and the surrounding wine... more

Very clean and well kept hotel. My only beef about it was the WiFi network (not free) was crappy at best. When trying to look for things to do and get some more research on the local activities, it took much longer as the network would drop out very often. more

Thank you, ThunderousTX, for your comments! Yes, we do charge for WIFI in our guest rooms but we do offer complimentary access in our lobby area.

A remarkable and most beautiful property! Situated minutes from the frwys. and wineries... the Double Tree Hotel is one of the best! The fresh baked cookies upon arrival are delicious. This was the second stop in my week long road trip... and unfortunately became the standard for all other hotels in the trip. I say unfortunately because none of the others measured up. The pool was great for the hot afternoon. The staff LOVED my dog (going so far as to get him all riled up with greetings across the... more

This was our base for 5 days of touring Sonoma County. Our top-floor room was quiet and comfortable with all the amenities we wanted. We particularly liked the fact that we could open the window to admit fresh air at night. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The hotel is beautifully landscaped and in a nice neighborhood... more
