Stayed here with a group of friends for two nights to attend the Petroglyph tour on the China Lake NWS. PROS Closest hotel to the base. Updated rooms with granite counter tops in bath (king rooms) Clean, quiet in back of building, great water pressure and refrigerator Nice breakfast with waffles, although I augmented with our own deli ham and... Check in was easy and fast. The room was very clean. It was located right next to the base entrance gate.

I just got back from a fall family trip to Death Valley, and we stayed at this hotel. I don't know about you, but in these tough economic times I am not focused on luxury, but a place that offers simple good quality and high value. This hotel was exactly that: clean, safe and comfortable enough, nothing fancy, for my... More

Does the job. Massive beds, big spacious rooms. A little outdated sure, but clean. On the scenic route through Death Valley to/from Las Vegas. For the price you pay you cannot complain. Very motel-ish but felt safe enough. Ridgecrest has enough going on in terms of restaurants and shops. As a stayover place for the night it is fine.

I've stayed here about five times while visiting Ridgecrest and the last time reminded me of why I always choose it. We had our new untrained dog get loose from the nearby enclosed yard and run off into the darkness. My daughter was devastated, but the lady working that night offered lots of encouragement and concern, and was generally thrilled... More

The motel appears to either be new or recently renovated and our room was immaculate. It's pretty basic, but a great place to stay for a couple of days or overnight on the way to somewhere else. Would definitely stay there again.

The quality of the motel is quite good, probably just a little expensive

It was like a night in "hell"!!!! If you get a room around 300 or 302, do not expect to get any sleep at all. From about 10-10:30 until 2:00 a.m. there is constant foot traffic from a bar that is just around the corner, "Mickey's". We made a call to the front desk and complained about the noise the... More

Half way through my shower, I saw something that looked like lobster antennae coming from beneath the grungy 80s-style glass shower doors. I jumped out, soaking wet, and out fell the largest cockroach I have ever seen. It was the size of a small bird. I was unsuccessful in trying to kill it with hot water, so I left it... More

Even though this Econo Lodge boasts that it is the “newest hotel in Ridgecrest”, the quality is not of a new hotel or motel for that matter. Despite the fact that we stayed in a non-smoking room, our blanket on the bed had a cigarette burn in it. One day the maid came and apparently tried to hide the burn... More
