I needed some much needed quiet time in my life, and this place provided me with a place I could hear myself think. I had a beautiful room with a full patio view of the ocean, and loved laying on their great pillow topped matress listening to the waves crashing against the North Coast rocks. Huge two person jetted tub... More

If you’re looking for a hotel that promises a lot but delivers quite a bit less, and does it with real attitude, you’ve found it in the Wharf Master’s Inn. To be fair, the inn offers spectacular views. Our room had a very nice look at the ocean. The feather bed was quite comfortable. Unfortunately, however, that’s where the good... More

We came to Point Arena on business and pleasure so we were on a budget. I booked a night at the Sea Shell Inn because it looked affordable, clean, and cute on the website. Oh boy was I wrong (see review), we didn't even stop, no way! So we went searching for another place to stay and found the Wharf... More

Point Arena, it has to be said, is not flush with accommodation options. The Wharf Master's Inn is somewhat more salubrious than the village on the main road, and has very pleasant new management. The rooms are spacious with features such as fireplace and jacuzzi, and the beds comfortable. There is a view out to the bay and pier. Breakfast... More

One good way to judge a hotel is how they handle a problem when it arises. The Wharf Master's Inn got it wrong. I will start with the fact that this place emphasizes that there is a fireplace and spa tub in every room. It was mentioned when I made reservations and it was on the sign out front of... More

We stayed in the Inn for 4 nights to enjoy the nice and friendly service of the staff. The feather bed was a joy to sleep in, with the roar of the breaking waves in the background, when there are high winds, otherwise very relaxing and southing sound in the background. Breakfast was Continental with coffee and juice. We will... More

My husband and I discovered this place last year for our shared B-day. Very cool. The room was clean, spacious, pretty nice view. Love that its close to a working wharf, and I spotted WHALES!!!! from inside the restaurant, and ALL the people in town are friendly and helpful!! Can't wait to go back ..same time next year. Would be... More

My mother and I planned a quick getaway from the valley heat and booked a night at the Wharf Master's Inn. The pictures on the website made it look more luxurious than it really was but it still was a very nice room. Our check-in was very quick and the clerk was very nice. The room was clean and spacious.... More

My husband and I stayed here on our anniversary. The decor of the room called 'romantic and peaceful' was not as shown on the website-- no four-poster bed, just a standard motel bed with headboard bolted to the wall; no fine linens, just dark patterned bedspread & pillows-- none too clean. I'd asked in advance that no room scents be... More

We loved our stay and enjoyed the nearby amenities. We especially enjoyed breakfast at Trinks in Point Arena. The local food was evident in every bite. The couple at the next table were raving as loud as we were! More
