Do not ever camp here on a summer day if you like privacy. I like to feel one with nature not with a camprground full of people. I do enjpy coming here in the winter time during the week, but on a summer weekend...forget it! campsites were close together, the good thing was it is a walk to the beach,... More

Clean enough bathrooms and showers. Showers had warm water and there were plenty of them, but you need quarters for them. We were in camp sight 71. It was small and there was no shade. But it was overcast and not too hot anyway, plus it was in a good spot because we were not next to anyone else. We... More

I have never been to a campground where the rangers/staff were so incredibly rude. The lady we talked to at the front while checking in was very rude then we felt like we were being watched the entire time we were there. The rangers harassed us the second it hit 10pm while we were sitting around the campfire talking. They... More

Stayed for 2 nights and had a very nice stay. Campsites are close together, but as long as you have respectful people around your stay will be great. We had a very nice stay because their were a lot of young kids all around us who played well with our kids. The location is a nice walk to the beach.... More

This campground is wonderful for a place to get away. I have been going to this campground every year with my family since I was a small child. The RV and tent camping is completely separated by trees and a lagoon. The noisy generators don't bother the tent campers and the smoky fires don't bother the RV campers. There are... More

We were unable to even GET a campsite. The North Beach Campground is First Come First Served, and what a mess. I was told by the Oceano Campground via telephone that we had to go to the campsite, find an empty spot, set up our tent and pay. I asked Specifically if we could put out a reserved sign and... More

We have been coming to Oceano Camprground for over 10 years and love the campground. Most campsites have sufficent space between them for privacy unless you get one that circles around the restroom/showers. Some sites having tents can be back to back. Kyaking in the lagoon is fun but you have to lock your food due to the racoons. We... More

After traveling 300 miles to get here and paying $42.50 for this so called premium camping space @ oceano not North beach we realized that we made a huge mistake for booking this online. It's basically a trailer park (NEAR, NOT ON THE BEACH) without the trailers. There is no privacy between the other campsites. We were so disappointed that... More

Our Family has been to Oceano several times in the past, and have enjoyed our experience each time. We have pitched a tent, and also stayed in a RV. The park is very clean and the Camp Host is always a treat to chat with. (I want that job when I retire) Bring quarters for your shower, and if you have... More
