Great boutique hotel, convenient to everything in town and around Stanford. Super shower, products and comfy bed. Small room but it works! Very generous complimentary food offerings from espresso all the time to cookies after 8 pm and a lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Very friendly hotel staff greeted us as we came and went! Looking forward already to... More

Was looking for a hotel in Palo Alto for a one day business trip. This hotel was a perfect choice. Located in the heart of downtown Palo Alto with easy access to food and entertainment. Hotel is designed for the business traveler. Doesn't take a genius to know a ton of deals are cut in Silicon Valley and this hotel... More

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights while visiting Stanford University. The hotel has an excellent location, one block to everything and a couple of blocks from the train station and the shuttles to Stanford. The cost of this hotel provide the best value in town if you are on a budget or want to spend your... More

Perfect location and value for weekend stay in downtown area. Rooms are you cozy for one who likes to spread out. Might be cramped if there were two like me. Staff are first rate.

The look & feel of this hotel were great. We were impressed upon arrival & excited about our stay. Unfortunately, we did did not sleep well at all. The walls were very thin & you could hear movement in the other floors well. The lack of a bathroom door (it is a curtain) made for uncomfortable situations, but would be... More

I was sorry to see that your stay proved disappointing and appreciate your giving props to housekeeping for the cleanliness. I have taken your comments regarding the front desk staff to heart. I consider this an epic fail and have told them as much. The beauty of working at a small property is the ability to engage our guests in... More

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Keen while my husband was at a conference at Stanford. It's a chic little boutique (read: European-style and scale) hotel right in downtown Palo Alto, within walking distance of Caltrain and very close to the campus, shopping, eating, you name it. With only three floors, it's an intimate experience. The hotel is modern,... More

I remember when this hotel was an SRO called the Palo Alto Hotel and I have to tell you these guys have done an amazing job renovating this place into a very cutting edge and "high tech" looking hotel. The rooms are small but I only slept there anyway, loved the grab and go refrigerator downstairs. Staff was very helpful.... More

Hands down the best value for Palo Alto: nice hotel rather than motel; can't be more central; great style with food options all around. Will be back many times!

Most of the reviews capture this boutique hotel accurately - great location nestled among great downtown with many restaurants and bars, small but clean rooms, inspired design and extremely good price. For the business traveler, or couple, I don't think you can beat the combination. I'll restrict my comments then to what wasn't mentioned or could be improved: 1. Security... More

Regarding the issue of hotel security, we do have the ability to lock the front door when the staff believe they will be away from the desk for an extended period of time. When the desk is left unattended for brief instancse to handle guest requests the staff are instructed to review the security footage upon their return to make... More
