This gated hotel is a collection of architecturally stunning ground-level rooms. Ours had two adjoining walls of glass with a view to the superb landscape and pool. The outside wall of our shower was also glass with an enclosed garden outside so it made showering feel as if it was amongst the palm trees. I can't imagine staying in a... More

Got a great deal on a King suite (5A) and had to take the chance. The room was pretty spacious with a very cool interior and decent amenities. The al fresco shower was a nice touch, though the cool winter nights meant it wasn't used more than once. By and large, the property is in amazing condition. The paint in... More

This adult-only hotel was quiet, right on the edge of the town of Palm Springs, and was an outstanding renovation of a classic mid-century modern home with its wonderful casitas for guests. The room felt like your own home since each room does not face anyone else, and we had a little patio with two chairs facing the pool. Adored... More

This hotel is a long drive into Palm Springs. There are many good hotels much closer to the freeway. The rooms are spartan and there is nobody on duty in the lobby from 8 pm until 8 am. Since there was no coffee maker in the room, there was no way to get coffee until someone came on duty, and... More

We really love this hotel! Perfect environment. Great swinging pool, Jacuzzi nice room, good breakfast served in your room (is not a buffet, the night before you have to choose the things that you want: cereals, bagel, coffee, orange juice…), free Wi-Fi. Bad things: - Light: The room is big al with a lot of light. However, in the mornings... More

Second visit to the Horizon this year and once again had a wonderful experience. Comfortable, relaxing and with unbeatable views, it truly is one of my favorite places. And it's also very quiet, offers free wireless and breakfast. The rates are very reasonable for the quality of the experience and the staff are friendly and helpful. The Horizon is really... More

Lovely 50s resort with large retro rooms, patios, pool, jacuzzi and free wifi. Breakfast is served in your room or patio, but the quality of the food and the choice could be much improved. Although there are fridges and glasses in each room, there is no method of making tea/coffee in the room, and there are no drinks available in... More

Its not amazing but it's really cool. They should spend a little more on the hip factor and the outdoor bar needs to be in use. Even if they set up an honor bar with beer and wine. Way chiller than ace hotel. More

Thanks again for choosing to stay with us. We have begun upgrading our rooms and making improvements based on guest suggestions and reviews. We are working on ideas to utilize the public bar area while the tedious liquor license process is complete. We hope that you visit us again soon and tell us what you think. More

We arrived at The Horizon on February 26, 2011 and stayed for 5 nights. Hal and Vanessa were very helpful from the time I made the initial phone inquiry to the day we departed. The room was open and uncluttered. The private outdoor shower was amazing and we used it exclusively. The pool is clean and warm; the hot tub... More

This place was great for us, with views of the mountains and lots of quiet. It's not a "party" hotel, which suits us nicely. The rooms are very clean and modern, lots of light and a big comfy bed. The pool was warm and no chlorine! We'll be back. More
