Pala is great from beginning to end. You're out in the San Diego country so peace and quiet abound. Always very nice rooms and a great location. Then beds are excellent and the bathroom setup is world class with a shower and a tub. The lobby casino area is quite busying if you were looking for a quite location this may be a problem. The cigarette smoke situation is getting better but still present

Was only here for one night on a business trip. After enduring a 19 hour day in airports due to a winter storm all I wanted was a clean room and a comfortable bed. Pala delivered on both. I can't speak to the rest of it - food, service, etc.
