We stayed at Point Reyes Seashore Lodge and really enjoyed our stay. Our room opened out to a grassy lawn and stream. The kids had as much fun playing by the stream as they did visiting the seashore. The do offer suite rooms for families and there are plenty of good dining options near by. While the decor could use... more

This hotel hits all the right notes. We stayed in the Garcia suite. A fireplace, a balcony, a sleeping loft, a large bathroom with views from the shower/jacuzzi tub. The room was filled with light and air and views of the Point Reyes hills. We ate dinner at the farmhouse restaurant next door and had a fantastic cioppino and cheese... more

My husband and I took along out 3 and 1 year olds for an impromptu road trip from Oregon to San Jose to see friends. Literally last minute on the way home, we decided to travel home up the Coastal Hwy 1. We adored the tiny town of Olema, and as soon as we spotted the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge,... more

Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We try to get it right and nothing makes us happier than to hear the 100's of compliments that we receive every month, but so very few take the time to put them on Trip Advisor. We hope to see you again!

My wife and I decided it was time for a "Corvette Run" to get away from the heat of Sacramento. I spent most of the Friday looking for the right place for our getaway and decided on the North Coast near Stintson Beach. I found the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge in the town of Olema and booked "The Last Room".... more

Sounds like a wonderful reason to fire up the corvette! Thank you for sharing your experiences. We appreciate having the opportunity to provide you with friendly, comfortable accommodations and good food! The next time you're feeling the heat in Sacramento, give us a call. We would love to see you again.

We stopped at this 'lodge' after driving from SFO. We were told we were getting the last available room and the woman at the counter seemed bothered we didn't have a reservation. As I was walking through the lobby 5 minutes later with luggage, a couple came in and the same woman told them she had 'one room left'. She... more

Thank you for sharing your review - after checking with the front desk we discovered that there was no intention to "lie" but there was merely a last minute cancellation. We apologize if you misinterpreted us. Since your stay with us, we have upgraded many beds to comfy pillowtops and continue to do so. I see that you took many...

This was our second trip to the Pt. Reyes Seashore Lodge. We went in August, 2007 and stayed in the Audubon Suite which was two stories tall with a sitting room below and the sleeping area in a loft above. We returned this March with our 2-year-old son and stayed in a Fireplace room on the second floor. The rooms... more

The grounds are nice though much smaller then the pictures make them appear. The Lodge is right on the road so there is traffic noise. The desk staff was not very friendly - simply professional. The beds are too hard though the rooms have a nice feel to them. The rooms are not as charming as the online photos imply.... more

We stayed here over the holidays. It was a really fun getaway. Loved the pool table and our room had a deck overlooking the backyard which had a pathway to the park. Hiked in the park and came back to a nice jacuzzi tub with bubble bath! Not a place for the gadget-dependant person - no TV or cell service.... more

After leaving nearby San Francisco, we came across Olema and this little Hotel completely by accident. It was early evening and there were alot of people checking in so we had to wait a few minutes before we were seen to. The lady at reception was aware of us waiting and was friendly and efficient. We had no reservations as... more

The positive comments we can make about the facility would be that the breakfast was decent, the staff helpful, and the grounds lovely. After that there is very little positive to say. Our first indication of something amiss (after the expectations developed from relying on the website), was the discovery that the property is located right on a busy highway;... more

For people curious about it: Room 1 is our most economical room - one of the least expensive rooms in Point Reyes, yet it comes with all of the benefits of the Lodge that others enjoy. It has privacy when you close the bathroom door, and is completely private with the curtains closed. There are windows that open in the...
