Having stayed in San Francisco for business all week, I wanted to take a break from the city during the weekend. I did not know the place and relied on Tripadvisor. All in all, I would definitely recommend it. There are 6 rooms at the Inn - but I stayed at the bed and breakfast, which is run by the... More

Likes: large portions and good selection of breakfast items from restaurant menu, quiet, convenient location off Sir Francis Drake, en route to beaches, oyster farms, hiking trails Dislikes: many! auxiliary place up the hill was run-down, dirty and abandoned-large piles of bird droppings outside the door, overgrown garden, screens, fences, lights, and gates falling apart, smelly linens, stained towels, stained... My husband surprised me with a night here last weekend. It's cute but has seen better days. Our room was tiny and the loud exhaust fan from the kitchen below actually shook our floors! Not what you'd expect for $200 a night. The carpet was stained, lots of dust on the surfaces as if it hadn't had any visitors in... More

They paid their liquor license late so could not serve wine ... At New Year's. They called ahead to warn us to stop to get our own, which was considerate. Tho they knew we'd arrive in an hour our room was feezing cold. The central heat had a breaker problem. They gave us a small space heater and promised the... More

I have to say that Olema Inn made my 4th of July weekend. It came highly recommended from my boss, who has excellent taste. He had spent three nights here at the end of 2009, and once I heard that he stayed there, I didn't look anywhere else. Our first encouter with John the owner was Sat evening: My boyfriend... More

I think this used to be a good place but there was a change of ownership and the place is just riding on the reputation of the former management. ridiculously overpriced room for what we got - tacky decor, soiled carpet and the greatest indignity for $200/night, no hot water. i mentioned this the next morning and was told that... Travelling through the coastal area we found the Olema Inn on our way to winecountry and we immediately liked it very, very much. The owner and his wife Carol made us feel at home right away. The rooms are very much ok, the beds are magnificent, the pillows are the BEST, trust me. Breakfast included, only for the gourmet customers... More

no heat control in the room, broken sink, very worn furniture, soiled carpets, pets allowd, very depressing, no phone, no room to move around the bed, no tv, no robes/slippers, terrible (20) steep stairs to carry your own suitcase up! the full breakfast was terrible, cold coffee, bad (old) keesh, etc. customer service was very poor!

We found this inn in the Time Out guide which are usually pretty reliable. We booked as a 1 night treat or the end of our holiday and were bitterly dissapointed. The Inn was fully booked (why???) so we were allocated a room in the B & B up the room - for the same price of $260. Basically its... More

We had a good time at the Olema Inn, not perfect but nice. The husband and wife duo who run it were really friendly - they found us beach towels and gave us great tips about the surrounding area - and it has good touches like free wifi and local calls. The restaurant is a little over priced and the... More
