I stay frequently an Choice Hotels and am usually satisfied. This time I was not. This motel sits immediately adjacent to the freeway. There is insufficient noise insulation. The noise never stops. When I asked about it at check in the desk clerk said "It's not too bad." The office reeked with the smell of Indian food although it was mid-day when I checked in. While I was in the room, one of the employees walked in without knocking. Sleep was further interrupted by the load Chinese couple who came into the next room around midnight and argued through the thin walls until they left around 5 am??? Finally, I would be unable to distinguish between the feel of the bath towels and a brillo pad... very hard and rough.

Sad to say - you get what u pay for. Very small. Noisy. Felt unsafe. Had a funny smell. And free internet? What free? Timed out so many times the “free” six hours had elapsed. Noisy air conditioning and small screen TV. Too close to the Oakland Coliseum for comfort because the traffic was horrendous. Not much good news here.

The hotel area looks very unsafe. the staff wasn't so friendly (couldn't even recommend a place to eat). nothing to eat around - have to drive to Almeda or San Fransisco. and the room itself was not clean, the beth was dirty and old. and the bed had stains on it. (looked like lipstick) This is a very cheap place, and it looks like it too, The breakfast "room" is tiny and the food is poor.

I paid $174 for one night at this hotel that is not in a good area and when I arrived the building is very beaten down, the lobby smells terribly and us very dirty. I asked for a non smoking room. My room said it was non smoking but it smelled so bad, I'm not sure if it was smoke or because it is so dirty. I had someone try to get into my room, I also had neighbors who played extremely loud music all through the night, screamed, and hung out right out side my door. I called the front office and nothing happened. I didn't sleep all!

This Rodeway Inn is in an industrial area north of the stadium, and walking to the Raider game that evening felt a bit scary. Nothing happened, but I was very cautious and returned to my room mid way through the game before it got too dark. Fortunately, there were patrol cars that went by me several times on the street as I was walking, so I felt a bit safer. Next time I might use Uber to get to the game unless it is in the morning or afternoon. The motel was easy to find off the freeway about a mile and a quarter north of the O.Co. coliseum, and my room was clean and roomy. I was hoping to be on the second floor, but they could not accommodate me as first floor rooms were all that were left. The woman that checked me in was very nice, and I felt very safe in my room and on the premises as the exterior lighting is very good. I will likely stay again next time I go to an event at the Coliseum.

This place was well kept on the outside! It wasn't until we were up late and we saw roaches crawling around and we had to throw away our food. Yuk! the next morning we were asked if we wanted to switch rooms (like that was going to stop roaches from crawling right?) Well, we moved anyway and yup.....again at night...the roaches were out. Never again will we stay at this place. We were stuck because we were there on business and we got back to our room late night. And the breakfast they offer? Joke. Do not stay here!

I was staying there with my family and friends. So at around 7.30 am there was a knock at the door saying room service. I applied the security lock and open the door slightly. Two guys from outside pushed very hard to open the door and started hitting me with an iron hammer on my head. My friend came and saved me. Before they left they hit my friend as well. I had to take 21 stitches in my head. Hotel authority failed to provide any sort of security. It was their responsibility to provide security to the guests. How can robbers come directly your room!!! My head injury was so severe that i was mentally and physically sick for about two months. But no one from hotel management came forward to help us neither they took any action to find the criminal. Also now they are reluctant to provide their insurance information as well. Please stay away from this hotel.

I agree with Robert R's review from April 2016. Room was clean even though worn, bed very comfortable, & was very quiet...slept great. The 2 negatives: water drizzled out of sink faucet and never did get hot; the breakfast was short on choices...packets of instant oatmeal (didn't see any milk), loaf of white bread, pre-packaged pastries & 2 juices. But, considering what we paid for one night ($112 with tax), guess you can't expect much more.
