We stayed overnight on our way along Costal Highway. Rooms OK, but small. Staff friendly. Breakfast room was just a normal hotel room next to the reception. Crampoed with one long table, like old times when eating in school..... Near the airport - nreas approch path of flights. Monterey city was on the other hand positive surprise.

I was scuba diving for the weekend and didn't want to drive back to San Jose. The rate was excellent and the location was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. Unreal! The smell and the stains on the bed! The blanket I got for my chihuahua is in better shape than the comforter on these beds! My 2 yearold slept on a sleeping bag we had cause no way I would let him lay down the ones there. Please pay a little more and get a better place.

I use Choice Hotels points for this stay, but checking prices, this one is good for the area. Outside and inside were clean. Of course this is off season, there weren't many guests during our stay. Comfortable bed, rather spacious room, but very tiny closet. Easy access to Highway 1 and 68. Fremont Street is one of Monterey's motel row.... More

How this place got a "Quality Inn" name is beyond me. We've done business with Quality Inns for years so we didn't hesitate to book this location. What a mistake. Don't be fooled by the pictures. We are frequent travelers and often stay at Quality Inns because they are generally nice places to stay. Not in this instance! This place was absolutely filthy (hairs in the tub & toilet, stains on the sheets & comforters, itchy bed, etc.) and the place was old and unkept (outdated furniture, badly patched walls, broken tv remote, outlets didn't work,... Walls could have fresh paint and TV could be a flat screen would help with the room looking more updated. If ur looking for a cheap decent place to stay this is it. Free parking. Has a pool and free even breakfast in the am from 7-10. Room is big! Nice front desk guy!

This hotel inn is located off the Highway 1 for easy access to the Monterey and Carmel attractions. The area is somewhat dark. There are a few places to eat close by, but we didn't try any of them.
