Booked this hotel through Priceline "name your own price" which means I did not actually choose the hotel. After reading the reviews I was quite worried. As it turns out our room was OK as it backed onto the golf course and not the highway which must be very noisy. Also the soundproofing is terrible.. what were they thinking when... More

I have been a member of the Hyatt Gold Passport program since the mid 80's and stayed at many of their properties and this one is simply an outdated motel surrounded by a Hyatt like lobby and common areas. Having been here twice since the first of the year, I find most of the staff are helpful, pleasant and courteous... More

We purposefully booked a nicer hotel to really enjoy our trip to Monterey, and although the rooms appear nice (at first) and the grounds are beautiful, it did not take long to find some major flaws! As soon as we tried to turn on the AC, it did not work, so we called front desk and were told that they... More

I stayed for a week for a conference at the Naval Postgraduate School located a walkable distance across the street. That was the first of many huge plusses with this place. On the outside, the place looked a bit dated, and I was hesitant that the rooms might be older and poorly kept, but that completely was untrue. At least... More

This is a very nice hotel with good facilities. I stayed here for two nights on the 5th and 6th May 2012. The hotel has a resort fee, payable when checking out. My itinerary stated the resort fee would be $15 per night for the period that I was staying. However I was charged $20 per night, total of $44... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights recently, room adequate, overlooking the golf course, portable air conditioning noisy. Staff were helpful and friendly. Wi Fi charge 22 dollars.

I have never written a bad review of a hotel in my 50 years of traveling around the world but I feel I must write this one. We had been on a 8 day trip to Carmel Valley, Carmel and Monterey to get some well needed moist air as we live in Nevada in the high desert at the foot... More

My husband and I stayed for one night, and we were pleased. After we checked in, we went down to the fireside lounge and had some wine and appetizers. The ambiance is very nice, with good views of the golf course. Later in the evening, we ordered room service, and the service was prompt, and the food was good. During... More

We stayed in this hotel the day that man walked on the moon - so you can tell it has been around a long time. The bathroom remodel in our room was amazing - large shower, contemporary sink, decent toiletries. The room was large and bed was comfortable. If it matters to you, each room has a free-standing ionizer to... More

I had stayed here many years ago and the hotel has undergone a very nice renovation. The rooms are clean, well - appointed and spacious. Although the hotel is not in the center of town, it is a short distance away and parking downtown, close to sites, was not an issue. The hotel borders a golf course and the area... More
