This is a charming, retro nesting of cabins among the redwoods in the Humboldt Redwood Forest, the perfect base from which to explore. Rustic but not rough. If that's what you're after, you can't beat it. The town is basically a crossroads, and though secluded we could walk across the street to the cafe and get gas and groceries and... More

I was a bit worried when I booked this place, as the photos on the website made the place look pretty rustic. To be honest, it wasn't the easiest place to find, particularly as we arrived at night. FYI: it is exit 650 off the 101N, right at the fork, and head into Miranda town. The sign of the hotel... More

If you are planning to visit the Avenue of The Giants and Humboldt Redwoods State Park and looking for a good place to stay, here is my recommendation: The Miranda Gardens Resort. Why? 1. Excellent location. The resort, which is a collection of well-maintained and meticulously cleaned cottages, is within a short drive to most attractions, and right in the... More

Stayed here in Cabin 10. after walking through the redwoods all day. Played Ping Pong outside and had dinner across the street. Owner not very personable, more business like. The cabins were nicely decoreated, but the beds were showing their age. They do need a hair drier and alarm clock in the room. Other than that a comfortable and quiet... More

4 of us stayed here one night on a motorcycle trip. The cottage was very nicely furnished and had some nice design elements. Great deck. Large jacuzzi (didn't use it). Enjoyed the grounds. We ate dinner and breakfast the (?) Avenue Cafe across the street and the food was excellent.

My husband and I stayed here with our two teenage daughters in June, and it is like stepping back in time. Lovely rustic cabins (we stayed in 4 and 4a which were adjoining); beautiful garden setting under a canopy of the redwoods; friendly staff. Our cabin had a modest kitchen with adequate amenities. Cabins were spotless, beds pretty comfy, just... More

When we arrived we had such a warm welcome from Jackie, who directed us to the cabin and checked us in promptly and efficiently considering we arrived at nearly 8pm. The cabin was large and we had bought food for a BBQ however this was tucked around the side of the cabin and not what we had hoped for. Nonetheless,... More

We spent three nights here on an redwood vacation. The location is perfect, being right in the heart of the Ave of the Giants and we enjoyed the rooms. My wife grew up in a small town, and this was like stepping back into her childhood. Even including the antique stove and faucets. We booked cabin 10, which was decorated... More

We stayed at Miranda Gardens for one night while seeing the Redwoods. We came from Port Orford, Oregon the night before (as part of a 2 week trip starting in Seattle and ending at the Grand Canyon) and had lots of time to drive around and view Redwoods and still arrive at Miranda Gardens around 5:00 pm. We stayed in... More

We needed a place to stay during a short weekend trip to the Avenue of the Giants, and were glad we picked Miranda Gardens. This group of well-maintained cottages nestled between big redwoods made for a great place to relax after a day of exploring the redwood groves. We stayed in Cabin #6, which had two beds-- one of which... More
