I'm not sure why you have to heat a room to 80F. Quality hotel but an average nights sleep as the place was sweltering. A shame given a well appointed room and an extremely comfortable bed. Value for money is a little marginal in my opinion although the location is close to Mendocino itself. Food was good and complimentary wine... More

We deliberated for ages on where to stay in Mendocino for the last 4 nights of our vacation. There are quite a few places to choose from around Mendocino. I was headed for B&B's in the town but my wife chose BGI. She chose very well. Guy the Innkeeper / owner could not have been more helpful from the booking... More

Approaching this property for the first time, with its unprepossessing exterior, we were not at all prepared for the experience we had. Our lovely rooms had little gas fireplaces; the main room, with it's sparkling floor-to-ceiling windows looking out into the trees, had a wood-burning fireplace which was kept burning all the time; the breakfasts were fabulous; there's even a... Our recent stay at the Brewery Gulch Inn is our 5th visit in 18 months. Since we were introduced to BGI by friends it has become our destination-of-choice in Northern California for relaxation, superior service, outstanding food and “over-the-top” service. We have traveled extensively and have had the pleasure of staying at luxury properties – BGI rates up there with... More

My husband and I stayed at the Inn to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. We have celebrated our 1st, 10th, 15th, 16th and now 17th anniversary at BGI and have never been disappointed. I love the down comforters, feather pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets. Pure luxury. Our room also had a sunken Jacuzzi tub for 2 that we enjoyed. The... More

Beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, tasty home prepared food. Great get-a-way for a relaxing California coast weekend. Not an easy place to get to but worth the trip from Anderson Valley wineries. Guy has a wealth of information to share about the area!

The setting of the Brewery Gulch Inn high on the Mendocino Coast, with a beautiful building and well-mainted grounds was an excellent place to spend the week end. The accommodations were superb; my wife and I had the good fortune to have had one of several rooms facing the ocean. Picture post card perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive.... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in May, 2013 for our 11 year anniversary. We travel a lot and have stayed in quite a few nice places and the Brewery Gulch Inn is definately one of the top places we've ever stayed in. It is a very beautiful place with a nice ocean view. The food would... More

We stayed three nights in this very well run inn. The rooms were very comfortable with delicious breakfasts. They also have a great evening wine tasting and appetizers. The other guests at the inn were quiet and like minded. The inn is a stone's throw from the beautiful Mendocino village. Great restaurants and shopping. Our goals in Mendocino were to... More

We just spent two great days at the Brewery Gulch Inn in Mendocino. At first blush it may appear 'pricey', but with the location, amenities and the excellent food, the price is very much in line with what you receive--nice 'bang for the buck'. People are friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area--you can't go wrong taking their advice. We're... More
