“Don't stay here”

Booking the trip was difficult to begin with - I only discovered they had no record of my original reservation when I tried to change my arrival date over the phone. In the end I had to re-book and they ended up charging me double. The customer service was none existent and the rooms mediocre.

We were making a drive from Tahoe to Mendocino, and were just looking for an overnight stop. We wanted a budget no frills room as we weren't staying more than one night. I am normally not fussy. I've lost count of the number of times I've commiserated with the desk person after an obnoxious and demanding guest had flounced off.... More
