i wanted to find a motel to break the drive from Yosemite National Park to Las Vegas. Originally I was going to stay at Bishop or Big Pine but the reviews of motels there were pretty awful whereas this hotel had had better reviews (and was closer to death Valley). the rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very... more

We got here after a four hour drive from Las Vegas, it was dark so we did not get the stunning view of Mount McKinley until the morning which was a nice suprise. The accomodation and breakfast was fine. The town is very much 'main street USA' and famed for being the location for the filming of Western type films.... more

This was our 5th night at our 6 day trip. We choosed this location because this is an inexpensive hotel close to Death Valley comparing to all other Hotels in or near Death Valley. Before I choosed this location I checked out the tripadvisor and I was horrfied by some hotels and the reviews. So I choosed this one and... more

Stayed here as a useful stopping off point on the way to Death Valley - arrived in the dark and waking up next morning to a view of Mt Whitney was a bonus (not that the motel was responsible for that!). The rooms are arrayed around a decent sized pool and the reception is very well stocked with good local... more

Large room that was very nicely furnished. Very standard continental breakfast. Grounds were kept very nice, and have a great view of Mt. McKinley. Wifi was not working, but we were welcomed in the lobby area where it did work. Better lighting in the room would be an improvement. more

We stopped at the BW Frontier Motel without a reservation on a Friday afternoon as a stopover between Lake Tahoe and Oceanside. The rate was decent for what is charged in the area and we were offered a AAA discount. Our room, Rm. 125, must be designed for families because it was very large. Rather than pay extra for 2... more

Nothing fancy, just basis. The breakfast is moderate. The pool is pretty small. There were ants in our room just because we dronk cola and trashed the plastic cup in the open bin. The ants were like an army going around the bin when we woke up in the morning. The hotel rate is at a high side. more

The motel was fine and we got what we expected from a Best Western. We didn't use the pool but it didn't look very big as we drove around it to get in and out of the place. Not too far to walk in to Lone Pine (less than a mile) but be prepared to walk half the way on... more

Just the right motel, no matter if you plan to just stay overnight or for a few days. Rooms are not too big, but absolutely sufficient, the bathroom was spacious though and absolutely spotless clean. It's got really helpful staff, even a small fitness center and a nice little pool and isn't too expensive - would recommend it to everyone... more

Stayed in 2004 and thought it was time for a return en route from Yosemite to Death Valley. Booked a 'suite' room called Gregory Peck which means you get a spa tub and larger room. Very clean, nice staff and awesome views. A typical Best Western motel in a lovely little town with real character. Room very spacious and comfortable... more
