Only 5 minutes from park entrance. We stayed in Cabin 5 for 3 nights and found they had everything we needed. Full kitchen, tiny bath. Portable electric heater, windows that open. Listened to the stream at night; no road noise. Unfortunately price had gone up $10/night from the time I booked the reservation. Restaurant serves fantastic meals. Large dinner portions... More

The management is self-satisfied and self-focused. The front desk staff will volonteer how tired all the work makes them.. They have their way, and that's it. Such basics as answering e mailed requests for reservations is an exampe of what doesn't fit their priorities. ( I sent a series of requests and never got an answer. Not even the courtesy... More

Stayed for 5 nights in cabin 1. Loved it. Perfect location for getting out early on some of the longer day hikes. Cabin has a great shower with nice hot water and a good bed. We did not use the kitchen. Note the pots and pans are limited. Ate breakfast every morning at the cafe. Food was great and reasonable.... More

My friend and I stayed there August 2012. I made the reservation via e mail (no phone communication is possible) and therefore was not aware of the full details of what was included (or rather, not included...) For $140 a night we got a room (cabin 2) with one bed, a toilet and sink. As we were checking out we... More

What a way to see Yosemite, from a tiny cabin perched at 9,000 ft elevation. We planned a last minute trip and lucked into one night in cabin 1 before entering Yosemite. Next time we'll plan earlier and stay longer. It's a short drive to Tuolomne Meadows from here, there's a small stream gurgling past and great food in the... More

We stayed here 26-30 July 2012. Cabin #1 was perfect for two people; the bed was comfortable, the shower hot and forceful, etc. That said, TPR is more an experience than just a place to stay. Surrounded by High Sierra peaks, the lodge is the closest to Yosemite National Park, and just minutes from excellent day hikes and climbs. The... More

Last year I reported that the resort wasn't able to take reservation via internet and no long took credit cards, making is necessary to have cash in hand! This weekend we were able to stop at the resort after hiking Saddlebag Lake loop. I am very happy to report that they are back on line and have the lastest technology... More

I had stayed here in the winter (great for back-country skiing though they are not longer open in winter) but had thought it would be too close to the road to bother with in the summer. TPR is just as good in summer. The food is fantastic, the people super friendly and helpful, the rooms (in the hotel section) cozy... More

Built in the 1930's, this cabin was a find. Real log cabin with clever log furniture made this a cozy find. Felt like going back in time in a good way! Really enjoyed the place. At 9,000 feet, they are only open in the spring-summer. Good stop on your way out of Yosemite after a day on Tioga Pass. Glad... More

We stayed at the Tioga Pass Resort (TPR) June 14-17, 2012. The TPR Facebook page had said they had openings in June, so we went up without a reservation Thursday, intending to stay in Lee Vining as an alternative. When we arrived, not only did they have plenty of vacancies, but all the surrounding cabins were dark that night. We... More
