The hotel is located in what is known as the beach area although you would not know that from the grounds, the hotel is located at a well traveled intersection with no direct site line to the beach. Location - just a few blocks walk from La Jolla Shores beach (sure beats looking for parking around there). We loved this place. Great ocean view and awesome place to stay in the summer. My husband and I will be making it a ritual to stay at this hotel for our anniversaries. This is classic and favorite for Sunday Jazz on the top floor with the best view over La Jolla. The happy hour is great and best burger in town!

We stayed here for 4 nights from Sept 29th thru Oct 3rd and got a great rate thru Travelzoo for $169 o/v which included the $15 per night mandatory valet parking and $18 per night high speed wireless. “Wounded Warrior Project(R) Believe in heroes(TM) Event Stay”

The Staff and hotel was excellent. We were in La Jolla for our first annual event for Wounded Warrior Project(R) and the staff went above in beyond, collecting boxes the week prior to our arrival! One of the staff members Johnson, surprised the team with appetizers at the grill after the event! EXCELLENT STAY!
