I stayed here for two nights for my son's wedding. Our cottage was immaculate and the service was impeccable. The food was excellent and there is really nothing I could fault. The hotel is in a lovely setting, surrounded by woodland and with a bird sanctuary next door. Very restful and relaxing, but VERY expensive.
We just came back from a weekend in Karuizawa. It is a lovely town but avoid this hotel. A leaking, filthy moulding bathroom, no internet access in the room and instant coffee for breakfast. At JPY95k (well over $1000) a night for two adults and two young children, Bleston Court is a complete rip-off.
I went to Karuizawa as a side-trip from Tokyo with my husband as part of our honeymoon. I've done some online research on hotels in Karuizawa and decided to stay at this rather remote hotel.
The hotel is a bit far from the Karuizawa JR station but it runs a shuttle bus service between the JR station and the hotel...
