Our stay at this guesthouse was the highlight of our Pingyao stay. The guesthouse staff was helpful and friendly, especially in offering tips on attractions and transport arrangements. The guesthouse is popular with foreigners and locals and the reception guy speaks good English. Hence there will be no problem communication wise.

We spent two nights here on a weekend break. From the very beginning, the staff went out of their way to be helpful. We had taken the bus from Taiyuan, and listened to some bad advice and got off before the actual bus station stop. But the electric cart driver from the hotel called me, figured out where we were...

Everything was like a beautiful tale story in the ancient china! Stay here gives you a feeling of going back to the years of 1800's or 1900's. This property has been the home of the Chen's family for hundreds over years and while their descendents still stay here, they converted most of the rooms into hotel .
