At first the bacchus showed promise, offering ac wifi hot shower and a fridge all for the reasonble price of 30 dollars. Unfortunately the services offered were an atrocious lie. We never received the ac promised even after asking for it 3 times, the water supply was intermittent at best (no flushing loo) and due to regular power cuts and... More

This is my 3rd visit to Sihanoukville and my first stay at the 'Bacchus Guesthouse', the rooms were large and spacious, fan or a/c (extra $1), cable tv, ensuite bathroom, seaview , clean and comfortable and all for $6-7. The staff were warm, friendly and very accommodating. Myself and my friend have been travelling around Asia for 8 months now... More

Paid USD 6 for a fanroom with ensuite cold shower. The rooms are pretty spacious with a table for cable TV and a double bed. All the rooms have windows as well and you are able to get the natural sunlight. Rooms and toilets are pretty clean with the occasional spider which you get almost everywhere in Cambodia (even in... We spent 3 nights here in August 2011 and were very impressed. It seems from the reviews that it may have gone downhill since we stayed there though. We paid $7 USD for a twin double-bed room with a fan, en-suite, cold shower and wi-fi. The room was large and clean, the staff (especially the English owner) were attentive, it... More

The Cambodian owner has separated/divorced from her English husband in the past year. When he was there and in charge the service was excellent. Now the sole owner has an indifferent attitude to her responsibilites, and spends much of her time on the computer instead of tending to the needs of guests. She is also sometimes unpleasant when asked to... More

Awfull! The room I stayed in was dirty and smelled of the rubbish piled up outside. The bathroom housed ants and the toilet looked as if was never cleaned. The bed sheets and towels were once white and had an awfull smell. There was a hole in the door big enough to see trough and watch the ongoings in the... More

Nice room, great price, cracking bar where you feel part of the things immediately as guests mainly from UK, Oz and northern europe. Mercifully few French (a real scourge in Cambodia). Kind of hotel where you come to stay a day or two and end up staying for weeks. Barbecue at night is great value too, a whole fish, fresh... More
