We do acknowledge our many returning guests by reserving window seats in the Craftsman room during dinner. We don't, however, reserve tables for breakfast - a better time for enjoying the view. We are very proud of the adjoining Julian room which contains an incredible full-room mural depicting Julian's countryside. It holds immediate awe by the many people who visit...

Goes w/o saying..the nicest place in town. Great bed&breakfast feel but without the dusty knickknacks & cramped space. Lovely newer lodge/lobby. Fantastic food & drink...may be the best place to dine in Julian also. Pretty grounds, even a nice walking path into the hills. more

Orchard Hill was beautiful and the staff so warm and gracious. Our room was the perfect place to spend the first night of our honeymoon. Every little detail was thought of, from the personal congratulations card to the yummy cookies. The whirlpool tub was wonderful, the fireplace was beautiful, the room clean and welcoming. Even though you are only a 5-minute walk from Julian's main street, you feel as if you're in a secluded lodge in the woods. Though we've been gong to Julian for 20 years, this relatively new hotel is a cut above the rest. Each room is decorated differently. My wife and I made a last minute call for a weekend getaway. I've not been to Julian proper, but do recommend Orchard Hill highly. We missed the afternoon wine and cheese, but they saved a plate for us--which was nice. And, the breakfasts, packed picnic lunch, and dinner were all really good.
