Our first night on a trip up the coast and we were so pleased with the easy, laid-back service of this family inn. Our room was spacious and very clean, the owner was friendly and very helpful. She even took the initiative to give a more private room when she found out there was a group near the room we... More

A board beside a hut said 'check in', inside our names on a post it note and keys on a table. No need to fill out forms, leave credit card, or give car registration. Loved it! Sipped good tea while laying on bed in a cozy room, with the sunlight dancing through the trees outside. Loved it! Walked around the... More

Reading the range of reviews in recent months, it's clear there are "different strokes for different folks". I'd stayed here a year ago with a friend from Colorado, and we couldn't have been happier. So I was delighted to be able to bring a friend from Paris this early-May Saturday and Sunday nights. We appreciated the friendliness and environmental consciousness... More

My wife and I stayed for a Friday and Saturday night recently with our two preschoolers in a small family suite: queen bed downstairs with kitchen and dining area, and two twin beds in a loft area above. We were there for a family wedding nearby in Point Reyes Station. The place was just what we needed: a lot more... More

Inverness Valley Inn, accepts dogs. ON leash. We dont want them chasing our goats. Or chickens. Did I mention we have a goat named Fluffy? Oh by the way, make sure you wash your own dishes in your room. We were looking for a weekend away spot. We were given a conference room with a murphy bed, that accomodated our... More

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Inverness Valley Inn in March 2012. In fact, we ended up staying a second night because we liked it so much. Our room was quiet, clean and very well-appointed, and we could look at the trees from our bed. We never turned on the TV. We fed the animals the first... More

I have stayed at this inn several times. It needs work. The innkeepers are wonderful, the animals delightful and the open space great. But the rooms are not well kept. Broken lampshades, rugs, etc. In the summer, we stayed there and the pool was really dirty, the hot tub needed cleaning too. If you can, get a room away from... More

Wonderfully relaxing property! We stayed in a two bedroom suite that had a little kichenette. Everything was well appointed, clean, and warm. This was our first time in the area with our two boys (young teens) and both Alden and Leslie were very helpful and had both suggestions and ideas for every question we asked. The property is quite large... More

We've stayed at the Valley Inn many times. The rooms are in good condition and are clean. They have a reasonably priced 2-room suite that is perfect for my wife and and and our two sons. The rooms have a gas fireplace that provides heat for the room - very atmospheric! Owners have been nice and accommodating to us on... More

Our room was dank to start. The carpet had two tears. We had to help the very delightful front office worker find a throw rug to cover them, a replacement light for the bathroom and we also tried to find a room where the wooden blinds worked. Not available. Blinds are a mess. The only heat is the gas stove... More
