Overwhelming smell of PineSol. Slippery mold/mildrew in shower. No hot water pressure in shower. Second night put party of 4 in adjoining room(3 others available). Left kids alone, jumping on beds, hitting walls, loud noises until 11:00 p.m. No microwave, go outside in cold. Frig ran all night.

My husband and I have stayed at the Inn several times, including during winter storms. We intend to visit on every vacation they are open. If/When the Inn is sold, we will miss James Buchner, and can only hope new owners will care as much about making sure customers have the best visit possible. Rustic it is, and rustic we... More

My boyfriend & I planned a 7 night Northern California camping trip to celebrate his 37th birthday. For our 5th night of camping we chose the Klamath River Resort Inn for it's kayaking, remote location (less touristy), affordability and to be able to camp right on a river! We were not disappointed. The owner/manager was warm/welcoming and extremely accommodating. He... More

After several hundred wonderful miles touring on my motorcycle I arrived late in the day. Wow, a great setting on the river and very quiet. With only two cars in the parking lot I thought I had found paradise! So far so good, my expectations had been exceeded. What followed still has me shaking my head... When I checked in... More

We spent 3 nights there, the room was nice, we had a kitchen whcih was great, the location has beautiful scenery, great fishing and hiking. It wasn't even buggy! We watched 2 foot long steelhead jumping, an otter cruised up to visit, it was so pretty. I am not a fisher-person but would recommend it to those that are. I... More

I really enjoyed staying at Klamath River Resort Inn... It was nothing fancy(rustic) but i found it very comfortable. If you like a simple, relaxing vacation i would suggest this place to stay. The rooms are very simple, the grounds are pretty, the river was nice, not too many people, and the owner was very down to earth. A good... More

Thank you for your kind words on our lodge. I think you pegged our lodge – come to relax and unwind. Come to enjoy nature through an activity such as kayaking, rafting, fishing, hiking, etc. If one needs a grand lodge to enjoy nature, (at a grand price) try the Ahwahnee lodge in Yosemite. If you don’t want the crowds,... More

First the good news: The location is quiet and the lovely lawn shaded by giant trees and sloping down to the river is inviting. The manager was polite and solicitous. Finally, the bed was comfortable and we were so tired that we had no trouble sleeping.. But I couldn't believe the condition of the premises: our first room had no... More

Thank you for the review. I am glad there were many aspects that you did like including a comfortable bed and great location. I am saddened that things did go wrong – some of which we were not able to correct immediately. We have made some large changes including new managers for 2011. We are spending more time this winter... More

I agree with the previous reviewer this place is not the Hilton, but as fishing lodges 2 hours from the nearest town of any size go this is a nice one. Place was reasonably clean and spacious. The grounds were great and my kids enjoyed running around on the huge lawn! If you can handle rustic this place is beautiful... More

Thank you for your kind words and honest review. Kids and dogs love the huge lawns. Parents love the shade of the sycamores watching them run around. Priceless. But we only charge $59 to $79. More

We were going rafting on the Klamath and wanted a place near the launch point to stay over night before starting our trip early the next morning. Our group included my wife and myself, my son and his wife and our two granddaughters (aged 6 and 7). We had read the bad reviews from 2009 and were prepared to abort... More

Thank you for your good and honest review. You are correct it is not the Hilton. But we do strive to make this historic riverfront lodge as clean and tidy as its age will allow. We don’t always reach that goal but always willing to improve. More
