Our stay at the Gold Country Inn was certainly pleasent. The room was super clean, Internet was free. And our breakfast was better than I had expected. I would have given them More stars had it not been for two things that were bothersome. First semi trucks park next to the hotel and leave their motors running all night for... More

BW rates this a 3 star but definatly is no more then a 2 star. Clean beds and pleasent staff recommends this hotel but all else is dreary, old and beyond repair. Breakfast room too small for hotel, floor rugs around too long, tv circa 1990, grounds pretty industrial

We stayed in room 176 and thought that our towels when wet smelled like cigarette smoke. When we went to ask front desk they said to ask head of house keeping. When we asked head of house keeping she bit our head off and said " yeah we smoked in the laundry room, its raining do you expect us to... More

My husband and I have a favorite relative who lives outside Nevada City and we've always found lodging there to be rather pricey and/or a bit funky. I came across this place while doing some online research, noticing that although it was listed under Grass Valley, its literally 5 minutes from N.C. We got a great deal (around $75) on... More

We had a wedding to attend, and this was the closest big-name chain lodging. We paid about $80 per night for a king size bed with a jacuzzi tub (loved it!) in the building alongside the freeway. Our front door faced the parking lot and the freeway, but it wasn't loud at all. The sliding glass door led to the... More

We decided to visit area and just stumbled upon the hotel. People very friendly. Rooms plain but clean and well maintained. Will stay here again.

I have stayed at this motel several times over the years, and it has always been a good, solid choice. We stayed there again over Thanksgiving weekend, and again, it was very good. It is an older motel, as others have mentioned, but they do a pretty good job of keeping it maintained and updated. Our group had 3 rooms,... More

External facing doors. You wouldn't know from outside, but on the second floor, everytime someone walks past your door, the entire inner room shakes- you can feel it in the bed, even. Walls are thin. Only reason I slept was because the other guests were relatively quiet. The wifi was very unreliable- even if you could get on, you wouldn't... More

We stayed here recently due to a wedding that we attended in Grass Valley. We booked through the hotel's website with a AAA discount. In all, we paid $188.00 for two nights. We really enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel does appear to be a little out dated. It was clean, quiet, and most importantly, the beds were comfortable. My... More

Stayed at this hotel the night of Sept. 17th because of a tournament we participated in. I didn't know what to expect since the motel was rated two stars. This hotel was very nice surrounded by trees. Rooms were very clean with nice amenities; a microvave, refrigerator, etc. There also was a desk and a dining table with two chairs.... More
