My original stay at the beautiful Gingerbread Mansion two years ago was simply because I love Victorians and needed a place to stay while I participated with friends in the Avenue of the Giants Marathon. This truly is a unique and gorgeous building, with a quaint and lovely garden, elegant and comfortable sitting areas, and 11 sleeping rooms with different... more

We thoroughly enjoyed this marvelous victorian B&B. The Gingerbread Mansion staff were welcoming, hospitable, and helpful. The house is wonderfully maintained, filled with beautiful antiques, surrounded by emaculate English gardens, and within walking distance from the shops & restaurants in town. The rooms are truly romantic and several have matching claw-foot bathtubs for enjoying a "together" bubble-bath in front of... more

This B&B has a horrible refund policy and WILL NOT refund your money for any reason at all if you end up making any changes to your reservation. We had to make a change to our reservation and lost hundreds of dollars. They kept ALL our money and we didn't even stay there! The owners are arrogant, rude, and severly... more

The Gingerbread Mansion always returns your money when you are in a refundable period. The Gingerbread Mansion always stands by the stated policies. The customer called on the evening of arrival and asked if we take infants. Our policies state no children under 12yrs. This customer had all of her reservation documentation for 17 days prior, but neglected to call...

Going back in February, next year, for our 3rd stay. Rooms are very comfortable with old world look but iwith modern amenities. Innkeepers are great, breakfasts are wonderful, and afternoon scones worth coming back for. Beware- sometimes you need to run the water a bit to get the hot water going in the shower. It's an old Victorian house with... more

Saw this place from a distance on previous visits and it seemed way too over-the-top. It is a bit busy and fussy, but in fact it's the nicest place we've stayed in Ferndale. This time we used it as a halfway rest overnight on a longer trip. Ferndale is interesting once, but perhaps not more than once. The friendly service,... more

I love staying at B&Bs and I have to say that the Gingerbread Mansion was just wonderful. I stayed in the beautiful Lilac Room with it's cute tub and lavender tile. I had a chance to look into most of the other rooms and all were very nice and roomy . The public areas were also very pretty and the... more

The rooms were rather fussy for my taste, but fun for one night. Very clean, lots of character. The breakfast was amazing. The host was a bit frosty on arrival but warmed up by morning and was really helpful in terms of where to go and what to see. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay. more

This is a truly special Victorian just off the main street in Ferndale which is a small and charming town with some lovely shops. The innkeeper made us feel welcome right away and the Heron suite was lovely (had a queen bed and a large day bed -- both were very comfortable). Afternoon tea (served with blueberry scones the day... more

I stayed here recently with my husband and my parents. We all really enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms charming with authentic antique furniture. The Gingerbread Mansion itself is so unusual and probably the nicest Victorian house in Ferndale. The breakfast was really good here. It consisted of four courses with delicious muffins, granola, baked... more

I stayed here for three nights in the Hideaway Room with an aunt whoise desire was to visit Patrick's Point State Park again (she last went in '53!). Originally my fiance was supposed to go and the loft was good for the third person. I have stayed at many, many inns - including one just last month which cost twice... more
