The lovely Sunflower Suite at the Blue Butterfly Inn was the perfect place to celebrate my husband's big "Zero" Birthday. We loved all of Liz's touches like the sunflowers in the blue mug pitcher ala Van Gogh, the art easel, paintbrushes in a container. The room is filled with other types of art -- and sunlight everywhere under the vaulted... More

We absolutely loved our stay at the Yosemite Blue Butterfly Inn - Liz and Ron were fantastic hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome in their beautiful home. Our room (the California Poppy) was full of beautiful antique furniture, and as they were not fully booked when we stayed, Liz gave us the chance to have a look at the... More

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was in May 2013. The Inn is situated right on the Merced River with a stunning view from the rooms and the deck where a yummy home cooked breakfast is served and only a few hundred yards to Yosemite NP. Liz and Ron were wonderful hosts making you feel like you... More

This place was quite nice. That being said, I'm not much of a bed & breakfast traveler, so I really feel when I don't have my space (and that was the experience here): staying in someone else's house. (However, there's not that much choice by Yosemite, and the location is very good.)

As the homeowner of this B&B, I want to thank the writer of this review for the kind remarks, but I am a bit puzzled about why this traveler chose to stay in a B&B which is clearly pictured on our webpages as a traditional B&B...a home which provides lodging and a breakfast, when this guest said, "I feel I... The Blue Butterfly Inn is just outside Yosemite Nat'l Park making it a quick drive to anywhere in the park (without the high in-park prices). The owners, Liz and Ron, are friendly and genuinely happy to have you stay in their beautiful B&B. We stayed in one of the upper 2nd floor rooms. It was quite a bit larger than... More

Best place to stay when coming to Yosemite. We just spent 3 spectacular days in the park and cannot think of a better place to come to for the night. The morning makes you really feel at home with great food, exciting conversations and a stunning view out the windows. Ron and Liz are fantastic hosts and patiently will give... More

I am reluctant to write this review but I rely heavily on tripadvisor reviews to make my travel plans and appreciate people giving honest opinions. I understand both the positive and the negative comments for this B&B. It is very close to Yosemite. It is a beautiful home and immacuately clean. It is essentially in the parking lot of a... More

I do thank this person for their positive suggestions, but, as the owner and hostess, I cannot help but comment on some misconceptions of the reviewer. I do suggest that all interested check out the prices of the other accommodations in the Yosemite area...our prices are very similar and we include a full, cooked breakfast. We cannot, by law, serve... More

Fantastic accommodations, warm hospitality, great food, super close to park entrance, friendly cats, what more could you ask for? Visiting Yosemite in winter was already a treat, but Liz and Ron made it even better. No way you can get personalized home-style service like that at a chain motel --not even close. We spent so much time chatting with them... More

We truly enjoyed the sense of humor of this couple...the guest in the photo insisted on 'spoiling' Purringer,... carefully tied a bib around his neck and fed him with a fork! Purringer loved it, of course. (I just hope Purringer doesn't expect me to do this, too!) Liz More

The inn is so spectacular, set along the gushing river. The stained glass and antiques are spectacular. The setting is next to Yosemite but without the crowds. Liz is an incredible cook and Ron has been climbing the hardest climbs at Yosemite for decades, still leading pitches in his seventies. As a search and rescue volunteer he has stories about... More

Second time staying with Liz & Ron and it's just as wonderful. Fantastic location, fantastic hosts...a wonderful time. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Ours had a balcony perfect for enjoying the river or the stars at night. Ron and Liz know every detail of the park and are extremely helpful. Time to plan our next trip!
