My wife, my 15 mo old daughter, and I stayed overnight at this hotel for a weekend. I chose the Culver as I tend to enjoy places with a bit more character than your cookie-cutter Hyatts or Radissons of the world. The Culver exceeded my expectations - primarily due to the pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel itself is a... More

We have been to Los Angeles several times to see our son and have stayed in two other boutique hotels which wer more than satisfactory. However, the Culver Hotel will be our choice from now on. Granted, the property has a few up grading projects, but they were replacing the carpeting, and the ubiquitous and gracious manager, Seth, revealed plans... More

My flight was late and I rolled into the Culver at 2 AM to the strains of Jackie Wilson's "Lonely Teardrops." I registered off of the Art Deco ballroom lobby, filled with an eclective mix of interesting old furniture and an assortment of decorative touches that one rarely sees. The hotel, a couple of blocks from where the "Wizard of... More

Thank you, your appreciation of the mix of the contemporary and the antique is our objective. The Culver Hotel is a Historic Landmark, built in 1924, and now is ready to compete with the boutique hotels on the Westside. See you again soon. More

I didn't stay in the hotel, but I visited the lounge/bar two weekends running. It was a great locations for a cocktail and a light snack. They have black and white Laurel and Hardy movies projected on the wall, and as it was Saturday night, there was a jazz band playing. The vibe was great, and so much better than... More

I stayed here about a month ago. I came to california; Los Angeles to be exact, for a funeral. I did not have a reservation, and happen to be in Downtown Culver City and saw the Culver Hotel. My first thought after seeing the outside of this hotel was "This should be a pleasant stay...looks a little fancy and is... More

Apologies for the experience you had. It is one thing to have a mechanical failure, quite a separate issue to have a hospitality failure. My name is Seth Horowitz and I am the new General Manager at The Culver Hotel. Been here for just under a month. Please rest assured that the service issues mentioned have been addressed and the... What a great find! Large enough to have all the amenities and small enough to care. Excellent staff and very well cared for property. Dining room and bar make it unnecessary to go out and location makes it convenient to everything if you do decide to leave. More

In reading about this place, I expected an experience similar to the Hollywood Roosevelt before it was ruined: weird old odd-shaped rooms and an old-Hollywood experience. Some of that was there, some of it wasn't. And it is a good alternative to airport hotels if you have any early flight out of LAX (less than 15 to the airport and... More

No, your expectations should be high, we simply need to meet the basic requirements. I do apologize for your experience. Changes have been made. Besides myself, as the new General Manager, we have a new Executive Chef, Jeffrey Williams, who has made changes to the breakfast. I can assure you that breakfast is set by 7. This historic little hotel... More

I stayed twice at this hotel, and would stay here again. Beautiful and well kept old building . Hotel bar/lobby area is beautiful, and the front desk staff , very polite . Rooms has big windows, comfortable beds, and the bathroom is great. Having the breakfast included was also a plus ! Location couldn't be better. Restaurants and cafes, even... More

I was here for a five day conference in the hotel (something they don't normally do, I'm told) and I also stayed one night (the last night, when the commute back to the SGValley proved too daunting). I loved the hotel and its interesting, historical ambiance, its high ceilings, and unusually shaped rooms. The 6th floor room I stayed in... More

We are having a "stay-cation" at the Culver Hotel and we are VERY PLEASED!! Our room is so well appointed and the bathroom is especially nice. This building was built in 1924 and has been maintained and remodeled to suit the era and architecture of 1924. It is yummy....from the marble and wainscoted lobby with the great food and live,...
