We stayed our first night in the San Diego area at the Glorietta Bay Inn. We found the Inn online and in a SD guide book. We read the review on TA and decided to book a 2 bedroom suite. The reviews are pretty much right on. If you stay in the original building (mostly 1 bedrooms - suites), you're... More

Very charming hotel and property. Friendly and courteous staff. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, beach and parks. Nice views toward Glorietta Bay. No bathtub, but didn't bother me too much. Breakfast was included in my rate, with great coffee, a wide selection of food items, and I would go back just for the waffles with fresh strawberries on Saturday mornings! More

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. Had a lovely suite this time and the pent house about 3 years ago. Rooms were lovely, clean and beautifully decorated. I love the location for its easy access to everything in Coranado as well as a quick ride or ferry to San Diego. The continental breakfast is very nice... More

My husband and I selected the Sugar Baron Suite for its Bay View. The view is beautiful, especially at night, but unfortunately, it also includes a view of the neighboring rooftop, air conditioners and all. The living space was lovely but the bed was a bit soft for our taste. As we are early risers and enjoy a hot breakfast... More

Spent one night here in late January. Good rate ($160 with taxes), great location across the street from the Del. I followed the advice of other posters and parked for free on the street rather than paying $10 to park in their lot, but I could easily see how free parking might be difficult to find in the summer. The... More

I stayed here for two nights while on a business trip. It's only about 15 minutes from downtown San Diego. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Basic continental breakfast was included. My only complaints were that they charged for parking (a pet peeve of mine - do they think I am getting to their hotel on a bicycle? ) -... More

The main core of the hotel resides within the Spreckles mansion built in 1911. It is directly across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado. Post Victorian period rooms in the mansion can be had for $300+ per night. This structure is beautiful and very well maintained. The landscaping is also beautiful but a bit sparse because it is tucked... More

My husband and I just spent a night away to celebrate our anniversary...wow! We stayed in a mansion room (the second time we have) and it was truly elegant and warm. (We haven't stayed in their regular rooms so can't comment on those.)The staff is very friendly and really attends to the details...including a complimentary bottle of champagne. There are cookies... This is the second time that I have stayed at Glorietta Bay. The staff is the most courteous I have ever encountered and very helpful. You feel like you are part of a family. Rooms are all large, have many amenities (DVD, VCR, Refrig, coffee, free wireless), quiet. Included Continental breakfast is great. Whenever in San Diego, I will be... More

My husband and I stayed at the Glorietta Bay Inn for two nights for our babymoon over Thanksgiving weekend. We chose this hotel because it has mostly good reviews and we did not want to dish out the extra cash to stay across the street at the Hotel del Coronado. The location is absolutely perfect! It is walking distance to... More
