Excellent hotel. New looking with entire facility very well maintained. Rooms were large and very clean. Room decor leans toward the practical rather than fancy with no frills bathrooms that have are large with a lot of counter space. Hotel is located very convenient to all local attractions like Lake Almanor and Lassen National Park. This hotel is definitely a... More

This was our second stay at the BW Rose Quartz Inn and it exceeded our previous experience. We chose this hotel because it is near Lassen Volcanic National Park. And, Chester has more dining options than other, smaller motels and lodges in the area. It is, however, about 25 miles from the park entrance. Pets may be accepted, another reason... More

We normally stay at the cute little place down the street, but this trip my brother booked a block of rooms at the Rose Quartz and it ended up being a good choice. The only service person we dealt with on our one-night stay was Nicole and we thought she was outstanding. She was both friendly and professional and went... More

We stayed in Chester as an overnight stop on our way to Lake Tahoe from Oregon, and loved it. The room was clean, fresh and COMFORTABLE! And the staff were wonderful, gladly sharing information about the city, the lake and food options. For those pulling a boat, spend a day or two in the area... as the lakes are AWESOME!!!

We needed a room for one night while exploring the Chester real estate market. Our room was typical of Best Western chain, clean, staff friendly, comfortable king bed, good pillows, half refrigerator, microwave. The lobby has a large sitting area with a big screen tv. I thought the "suite" was on the small side but still had a comfortable table... More

This BW is in a good location for visiting the fabulous Lassen national park . The building was modern with good sized rooms, which were clean, the furniture was good. The breakfast was good and the breakfast room staff were efficient and friendly. Although the hotel is in the town, the town itself is linear and quite spread out, so... More

We were driving to Lassen National Park, and because of the Best Western name we stopped here as we often frequent BW. It appeared to be the only chain motel in Chester. Certainly the newest and nicest. The price seemed pretty high for late September, but they are located in the middle of nowhere. The room was very large and... More

Review of Best Western Rose Quartz Inn at Chester, California We spent one night here in September, 2011. This is a fairly new building with rooms that are typical of modern Best Western motels. The room was large with a king bed, small frig, microwave, a desk and one easy chair. Wi-Fi was available at no extra charge. The TV... More

It's a good place if you plan to go to the national park. In fact we plan to stay here rather then the best western in susanville when we ride the bizz johnson trail in susanville

We like the Best Western brand. Each hotel/motel is individually owned and managed so you do not get the sameness associated with most hotel chains. So, on our three-week family tour of California we booked BW properties for most of our nights. BW Rose Quartz Inn was on our path as we travelled north from the Lake Tahoe area and... More
