A very attractive room, comfortable, nicely furnished, plenty of space, the continental breakfast was tiny but edible, the receptionists were jolly and helpful to us and the location was perfect. We adore Carmel,so to be so near Ocean drive was excellent.

My husband and I just got back from spending for glorious relaxing days in Carmel and once again, stayed at The Coachman's Inn! As always, it was perfect! Thank you Karen and Betty and the rest of the staff for your always warm hospitality and those nightly yummy cookies. You always make us feel at home! We loved our room... More

I seem to be in the minority when it comes to reviews of this property. I did not enjoy it as much as most. One thing I was very happy about was the location which was spot on. The property is clean and well maintained. A couple of things just really bugged me: 1. The windows all faced into the... More

So convenient to everything. Very nice host. Warm cookies and cider at 5pm. Limited parking but wasn't a problem for us. Room was comfortable and had a fire place. Has a hot tube area. This is were I will be when I return.

We brought son's family with us on our second stay here at the Coachman's Inn. He competed in a cycling race at Laguna Seca, while my daughter-in-law and grandson went to the beach. We all went to the aquarium and Fisherman's Wharf on day 3. This great location made it possible for us to have the best of everything -... More

We loved this inn. The owners were incredibly friendly, the location is perfect, rooms are clean, breakfast is served in an adorable little basket and is just what you hope it will be- it was just great and they even had parking. The only possible downside was that our room tended to get extremely hot and we could not find... More

Thank you for your kind comments and for staying with us! Despite our moderate climate, every now and then we get some warm days (because of this just about every hotel and inn in Carmel does not have air conditioning - but we do have fans available : ) ) If we have the pleasure of hosting you again, just... We arrived at 9:40PM on a cold April Sunday night and it was a true delight entering our warm, cozy room. The city is very dark at night (no street lights whatsoever), so we almost missed the small entryway to the Coachman`s Inn. Once we parked our car, we noticed there wasn`t anybody in the office/reception and we were immediatelly... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for staying with us all the way from Brazil! I do remember that evening and my apologies if I was a little sleepy. We did have the second set of keys for your room and waited to provide them for you downstairs but I think we had a miscommunication... More

First visit, excellent location , walking distance to everything. Parking is cramped but atleast it gets the guest off of the street. The second story room was very tidy and also very small .This two story lodge allows dogs , big and small so you might get some intermittant or continuous dog barking .That was our situation back in May... Thank you for your review! We are a dog friendly inn (many Carmel inns are pet friendly due to Carmel being one of the most pet friendly areas in the country). We are really sorry about the barking. We do have a dog in the managers office but it is a guide dog that is trained not to bark unless... More

We spent 2 nights at Coachman's Inn and were thrilled with the accommodations. We arrived late at the Inn and were greeted by Karen. We were upgraded to the two bed suite with a fireplace. What a wonderful surprise. The room was spotless and well furnished. The beds may have been the most comfortable I have ever had during a... More

We stayed at the Coachman's Inn this past weekend and really enjoyed it! I booked our room online and sent a request to the innkeepers via email. I was really pleased when they responded within a few minutes. When we got there, we found that the inn is located in the middle of the village, which made it extremely close... More
