We were very pleasantly surprised when we checked into our "cottage" Quaint, clean well decorated and a good location. Our cottage had a little seating area with a fountain, a couple of chairs and a table from which we could enjoy a glass of wine before going out to dinner. Well equipped with TV, Microwave, fridge and fireplace this place... More

The price is good considering it is in Carmel area. The manager upgrade our room without charging extra price because there was a last minute cancellation by the other travelers. We are a group of three and were upgraded to a suite with living room and two bedrooms. Instead of using rollaway bed, we had two separate bedrooms and a... More

Nice furnishings in rooms, small breakfast basket, a little old cabin, room size is good, quiet area of town but at least 15-20 min walk to city center; return takes longer uphill. Oner Ayan

We were a group of 7, and we booked 4 cottages. Upon arrival it was decided we needed 5 cottages, and this was easily accommodated. The cottages were clean, pleasant and comfortable, albeit modest. This is a budget accommodation, and should be judged as such. The basket breakfast was acceptable, again when assessed against that which was promised. The front... More

This was our stop over place whilst doing route one from Los Angeles to San Francisco. We arrived late and they had left our key out for us, which was nice of them. The room was large and clean, could do with some modernisation, but was comfortable. The complimentary coffee and soaps etc, were really nice. The fireplace in the... More

Do not stay at this property. I mistakenly left my children's favorite stuffed animals in the room. I called them within 3 hours of discovering them missing. The staff told me they had found them, I left my credit card number for them to send them to me at home. I called several times and talked to 4 different people... More

You need to be prepared for bare bones accommodations, desk service is very poor, would not answer the phone. When asking for more coffee packets, never arrived.Basket in am was fruit, yogurt and juice, muffins should be fresh..these were stale.Rooms are quiet, but drafty and the fireplace is really just a faux wall heater.Spend $25.oo bucks more and choose a different hotel!

My Aunt took me and my cousins to Carmel for my birthday, and we stayed here for one night. The staff were kind, and gave us a complimentary breakfast, brought to our door in the morning. The cottages were very cute, and cozy, each with it's own fireplace, and parking spot (which was very convenient). there was supposedly a hot... More

We have just had a great stay at this place. "Resort" is probably a stretch of the imagination but the set up is really good. Forty separate cottages with choice of size. We had a cosy but spacious one with very comfy king size bed, lounge room with auto heat fire place, fridge and microwave, coffee set up etc. (not... More

Finding an affordable place to stay on the pricey Monterey Peninsula can be a daunting task. After searching and searching we stumbled on the Carmel Resort Inn. After reading mixed reviews we decided to book. The front desk staff were not the most pleasant, so thank goodness we didn't have to deal with them after our arrival. As for our... More
