I liked the lower garden, and having a room that opened onto it. I liked that dogs appear to be welcome (I didn't have one with me at the time.) I liked the tables and chairs around the garden outside the rooms. I liked having breakfast delivered. I liked the idea of a pool, but didn't use it.

Our room was beautiful. the bed is comfortable. The small kitchen is sufficiently supplied. When we needed more sugar, easy to walk over to office and get some. Great place to stay with your dog...Friendly staff, large rooms & grass for your dog to "romp". Off season rates are super & breakfast brought to your door by 7:30 is great as well. Quiet & nice Only couple blocks from main street, Ocean Ave.

When visiting Carmel we always stay at Svendsgaard's Inn knowing our requested room will be ready for us even when arriving prior to the normal check in. The personnel is responsive to any requests we may have and love the cookies and coffee. We stay at least 4 times every year.
