Perfect location. All staff members I encounter are always friendly and helpful. On-line reservation confirmation. Rooms clean; everything in good operating order. Weekday breakfast included; a nice touch!! Love the furnishings. Parking in the small lot can be a bit of a challenge...make sure you're home early, or be prepared to find street parking for the night. Can't wait to... more

Very friendly welcome, and pleasant service throughout stay. Room comfortable and clean, even if rather small (though adequate for single occupant). First-rate restaurant with nice bar. Waiting staff most welcoming and always helpful. Good location - central, quiet and off-street car-parking. more

Although we have stayed in several other top Carmel inns over the years, this was our first time at the Pine Inn and we loved it! Front desk staff was extremely helpful in suggesting a room other than the one we had reserved when we inquired about noise, and even let us view several from which we could choose. Sure... more

We were caught in the biggest rainstorm to hit the California Coast in almost 40 years. The Pine Inn was great. We had no electricity for several hours. They arranged for boxed dinners - AT NO CHARGE - and even had extra umbrellas for those willing to venture out. They went over and above in a tense situation. more

A one night stopover here in such a lovely place - Carmel. The hotel is quite plush and Jim the bellhop is lovely - chat with him! The hotel feels a little in a time warp but it suits it's character perfectly - no real complaints there! All very clean, nice kitted out rooms. It is pricy but I think... more

I'm a business traveller usually and friends have recommended the Pine Inn to me to stay in while playing golf at Pebble. I had a day off to get some golf in and booked a room. How was I to know a major storm was coming in? When I arrived, the ENTIRE TOWN was in the middle of a power... more

Pine Inn's location was central, the décor - colonially impressive, the rooms - stylish, the shower gel smelled like almonds & the breakfast was delicious. Their only blunder was a rude male receptionist, who sent us to an ATM machine in the middle of the night for the cash deposit (our credit card failed) despite the fact that our stay... more

I usually like older, historic hotels but found the Pine Inn to be a bit of a disappointment. The hotel has no elevators and the walls are pretty thin. It was chilly at night and I had to ask the staff a couple times to put the heat on so that my room would have be warm. When they did... more

This hotel is very well maintained and is in the middle of Carmel--a fabulous location. The rooms are very well designed with the basin and closet behind one door and the toilet and bath behind another. The beds are very comfortable. I wish they had a coffee/tea maker in the room and ice that you could get yourself, but those... more
