If you want close-in beach access - this is the place. We come to Carlsbad every summer for the beach, this has a great location. Walk to beach - don't have to worry about parking. Walk to restaurants, bars & shopping. Great place to spend a few days as a beach bum!

Stayed there the week of April 16th and enjoyed it very much. The rooms were extremely clean and very large. We had a king deluxe which included a full kitchen, huge closets and a bath with double sinks. The heated pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. The front desk staff was very friendly & helpful. The lodge had a great veiw of the ocean from its deck. My suite was very clean & large. The location was great. We walked across the street to the beach. The restaurants & shopos were within walking distance. Very nice continental breakfast, very good variety. We definitely will stay again

Average at best. We stayed here (2 adults, boys age 9 & 6) for our Legoland visit for two nights and I know we wouldn't come back. The Lodge has a nice view of the Ocean from its deck, our room was nice, clean and the help were nice.

We just stayed here and our experience was great! We stay here when we are in Carlsbad, but this trip was the best. Jeanie at the desk was VERY helpful and friendly, and Kathy in the kitchen, was extremely friendly. They made our trip that much more enjoyable. Thanks!
